Having trouble with cavity map

I am having trouble getting texture paint to work with cavity. I have an issue where something that is to round and flat for a cavity it come up so it stays black. I can fix this if I put Max Ray Distance down to 0 but it looks stretched and inaccurate.

The red circle is where the black shows on the stomach and chest.

How do I fix this, what have I done wrong?

I have found the issue with another one of the course Q/A’s and it said that the High poly being inside the low poly was a problem. So I upped the extrusion like it said and it worked.
