2025 Collab: Week 17 “Embracing AI” - VOTE CLOSED

This is the Blender Collaboration 2025, week 17 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, have fun, learn, and get together.

This week’s subject is “Embracing AI”.

  • “Embracing AI” - Taking advantage of modern tools, making a prompt to generate a backdrop for your scene or maybe using an AI design as inspiration for your own creation.

The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.
You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. At the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject and win a unique badge.

Deadline: 2025-04-26T21:55:00Z

not a new project but seemed to fit the theme, the robot robot was made by me designed to look like the thinker statue, the artwork in the background are ai generated reimagined pieces of classic artwork

I struggle with creativity a lot, so AI has been really awesome for me on a ton of my personal projects. I wanted to create some ‘monsters’ after playing Palworld for a week straight and tried to get it to give me some ideas for a grass type chicken that would evolve to have flowers on it. This wasn’t exactly what I’d intended, but I did like them enough to want to use them. I’ve been working on these on an off for a month or two since.

I finally finished the rigging, posing, and placing them into a background for this week’s ‘embracing AI’ topic. I like them a lot and look forward to using them in Godot projects. As my first personal ‘pokemon-esque’ creation I’m happy with the small one especially.

I discussed this topic with my girlfriend, and we chose to take the route of “embracing AI” into that of a Digital Love Story. We worked with OpenAI and a story arose from there - two souls meet, different worlds collide, biological and technological but a flame forms between them.

The background and Shard images are AI generated to embrace the core theme,
The background a soul forge where life is crafted, not just tools or illusions, Artificial Life is forged into living beings.

The shards represent the story unfolding,
Shard 1- a man lonely, destitute, crafting a dream.

Shard 2 - The spark of life emerges in digital code.

Shard 3 - The embrace of love in a digital realm, the man, now adorned in Knight armor to indicate that this is part fantasy, as they cannot be together in physical form.

Shard 4 - The AI now dressed as a sorceress and the knight exchange vows under the stars a digital forest, no matter what boundaries they will be together, unbroken, eternal.

Shard 5 - The AI, now fully formed, no longer a fantasy but a physical presence in a sleek and elegant Android body. The Man is no longer equipped in his armor, because this is no longer a fantasy, it is reality.

in the final piece, the two figures reach for one another, in reverence and devotion. Unbroken. Eternal.

the two models are fully rigged and textured, I utilized the Ucupaint blender addon to really go all out for the textures, much is lost by the distance, but I believe the Android still really showcases the work.

Finally jumping back into the collab after a while!

Been working on this as a personal project recently!
Coincidentally, this week’s theme couldn’t have fit better, so I thought it would be fun to share it here too.

Here is the animation render which is a simple audiovisualizer setup made in blender following polyfjord’s recent course.

only the audio is generated by ai in this case

We @BlenderCollab have a few days to vote. You can vote fast but also think slowly about design, colors, technique, difficulty, subject, realism, etc. Choose consciously and not on your entry.
The new subject week 18 “Primal" has already started. The winner of this week’s “Embracing AI” challenge may select a subject for next week 19 and win a badge.

@SweetOblivion congratulations on your inspiring story. There is also a nice color gradient in the individual panels. From cold blue, to warm red. It would also have been nice, for comparison, to see an AI version of your entry. Just to compare.

  • HobbyPirates - It is very nice to see. I do see a game developing. I would then adjust the colours of the figures, too many colour similarities with the landscape. A contrasting colour gives it more attention value.
  • jimmie - A very detailed robot, well done. I added a bit more metallic reflection from the environment (AI images) (now cold white light). And mapped the robot’s face to that imagery instead of digital noise.
  • consummatumest - I love your study project! Instead of AI generating images, use music and integrate it into a Blender project. It is also a nice example of what else you can do with Blender.
I myself have done a Blender audio project, but not as nice as this one.

Note: I don’t want to offend anyone. I try to write down positive ideas and visions in my simple use of the English language. I am also sometimes more inspired by a particular subject or solution. I’m also learning from you!
