Why will YOU persevere with this course?

If anyone wants to connect by messenger let me know! We can help each other on our journey to become coding and game dev masters!

Hi, I’ve always been interested in games and making games.
I hope to become a programmer myself, so I thought of buying this course to get a better understanding and to kick start my dream. If there is tough times, I’ll just think of the games I could create when I’m completely ready. I also need a good grasp on C++ as I had first took Biology as my major due to circumstances and then jumped to Computer Science and I feel I’m a bit slower than my colleagues.

Thank you for this opportunity, I’ll try my best.

My hopes for attending this course are to gain a fundamental understanding of the C++ programming language and to efficiently code when making writing programs. With that said I don’t expect for the course to easy as you know what they say," any thing worth doing is never easy." At the same time, I’m always up for a challenge so I hope that with a bit of hard word, perseverance, and determination I will get through the course.

I am a Web Developer in the Austin, Texas area and I am a bit bored, after several years, of web development as a whole. I am taking the gaming classes to transfer my web development skills into game development skills. Take those skills and maybe make “hyper-casual” games for the soccer moms and supplement my web developing income.

Hey everyone

I’m going to do my master thesis in computing in the humanities this winter term. I want to develop a game that teaches basic philosophical skills at schools in corporation with the philosophy chair of my university (where I did my BA in philosophy). I always wanted to develop a game and finishing my university journey while acquiring a couple of new skills while doing things I wanted to do for quite some time is awesome! I think this course will help me to progress more quickly and teach everything necessary to develop a nice little game that teaches others about something, I care about while doing something I really enjoy!
(Plus there are a ton of sick C++ jobs out there  )

Happy learning!

I already have experience working with libGDX (2D). I have published 3-4 games in playstore and currently I create 2D Game Development tutorials using libGDX on my website www.pixmeg.com.

I now want to move over to 3D and then to VR that is why I want to learn Unreal.

My strategy to overcome a particular problem is to break it into smaller parts and then check each one them for any issue. And obviously stackoverflow and other forums are always great help. And if after doing everything I didn’t get the solution(rarely happen), then I leave the problem and continue to the course or what ever I am doing and then after getting more information/clues regarding that problem, I try to resolve it again.

I always loved video games more than any other form of art. And my first contact with making “something” this way was on the Unreal Tournament 3 editor. It was so cool!!
I wish I can create more than games, since UE is so versatile.
I believe perseverance and patience are the best “tools” for tough times…

This is a great opportunity to learn C++ along with Unreal Engine 4. I have been playing video games since I was in 5th grade and I wanted to get a job in gaming industry.

Hi!

I’m currently a Software Engineering student heading into second year and this course will possibly allow me to explore a bit more into backend with C++, which I have not explored as of yet.

I was always into video games as child and that of variety. I am looking forward to sharing some of my learnings and hearing other people throughout the course as motivation.

All the best everyone!

Well, i know it sound awkward but either than thinking unreal engine is cute i’m in this course to try to find out what i’m doing with my life. I already like the GameDev courses and i love creating stuff. I just don’t know how or where will this lead me. So i’m making tons of courses involving the creation process, and hoping to find answers that will make me join them all together into something beautiful.
I was a writter once, back then, used to love the idea of making a whole world with words, and maybe that is what will get me through tough times, knowing that in the future i’ll be able to build and see these worlds with my own eyes.

The reason I decided to take this course is because it seemed interesting. I love video games and always wondered what it took to create one.

Welcome everyone! Let’s tackle Unreal and C++ together! If anyone wants to connect let me know!

I’m currently enrolled in a CS major at my school. However, I feel like I’m not really devoting enough time to practicing and learning new skills. So, what better way to develop my C++ skills than to create games. I hope I can start building a portfolio that can help me land an internship. I hope to create a royal rumble style game with elements from Mario. I get through tough times by taking breaks and watching how others develop their skills.
