My main reason in pursuing this course to be one of the very best in the Game Design Industry. I wish to enlighten and amaze people with my talents as a Game Designer/Programmer in a variety of games such as RPGs, Action/Adventure, and a few FPS games just to name a few. I want to not only create games, but create amazing experiences for my audience just as my predecessors who already have made big in the gaming industry have done. Though the road may be tough, I will continue to push forward thru my iron will and determination, as well as motivation to make my dream a reality.
Hello everyone!
I already have the amazing chance of working as a Game Designer, but my technical skills and coding skills are lagging behind. Learning C++ would be a huge asset that would allow me to be more autonomous, efficient and confident. I am already excited to discover this new realm of possibilities!
When I started programming in university I thought that I was going to build really cool stuff like games, social media clones, etc… But, over the years that I’ve been attending school, never have I felt like I’ve done something that met my expectations, something that made me feel excited, ecstatic and proud like when I first wrote my “Hello World!” program. I want programming to feel like that again and that’s why I chose to participate in this course to make programming feel new and exciting again, like l’ve always wanted it to be for me.
I bought this course because I know quite a bit of c++ already, but I want to know how it’s used in the real world to create software or games. I chose to take the game development side as I have no knowledge about it and games are fun.
To get through hard times I usually take breaks in order to allow my brain to refresh itself. Having determination and perseverance from the beginning will help a lot too!
Hi, so I am here to learn more about how to use C++ with unreal. I Do have a fair knowledge of c++ and unreal but haven’t used those skill together yet. So hoping to learn a great deal from the c++ unreal course.
I am yet to start the course (I am about to do just that), and am looking forward to the challenges it will face me with.
I’m taking this course, because while I am in school for software development, I feel that I don’t have many specific skills that I can show or share with people. I want to learn C++ as I already know how to use Java fairly well, and I would like to better understand game development specific processes for coding. I also would like to learn C++ with unreal, as there is an organization on campus that is meant to be a time to create and develop games using unreal, and I would really like to dive deeper into the engine by using C++ than just using the simplified drag-and-drop system I have been formerly introduced to.
I hope to continue seeing and talking with you all along the way throughout this course and am extremely excited to get started!
I’m really looking forward to this course, I have web dev experience and run a dev business, but not ventured into the game dev area. I know I’m self disciplined, but also looking forward to getting to know others here. My son who is 20 is also taking the course, so we can bounce ideas off each other!
Let’s begin!
Dave
I’m taking this course because i have always ahad a love for video games and want a good creative outlet for myself to make me a better person.
I want to learn the skills that will make me a productive team member so I can help create immersive stories and experiences through the video game medium. When times are tough, I will lean on the community for support, break my problems down as small as I possibly can, or take a small break to approach the problem with fresh eyes.
I’m here to learn more towards Unreal Engine as I have a basic understanding of C++. I hope that I can sharpen my C++ skills while making fun games in the process.
Hello All!!! I am 36 and have been learning web development for the past 1 and a half years (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular, React, etc.). I’m currently an industrial electrician journeyman, but, I plan on making the career jump to web development in the next couple of years. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved and played video games, so, as my second language, I’ve chosen C++. I can think of no other way to learn this, than by building something I’ve been so interested in since I was a child. I remember playing pool and messing around with DOS on my family’s first computer, a Commador 64, what seems like eons ago. I’m not sure why I waited so long to get into web and software development. I come at this with a passion, unlike any that I’ve ever had before. I code atleast 4 hours every night, that’s after a 10 hr shift at my electrician job. I love to solve problems, I love to think outside of the box, and I don’t stop until…well, there is no until, I’ve found that in development, there is always another problem to solve and something to learn. I can’t wait to get started with this course, so I’ll leave you with this…
To speak to the machine,
is to master the machine.
With my mechanical slave,
I’ll also master the future.
If you don’t mind me asking, what business do you run? Is it freelance, or an actual, physical place?
I’d like to develop AR/VR experiences, and want to know C++ to sharpen my understanding of how to think through and solve technical challenges. I’ve used blueprints a bit but want to understand the functionality from the ground up and enjoy the performance benefits of C++ as well. One outcome of this is being able to take further schooling that requires some coding experience, giving a higher chance of being accepted.
I’m doing this course so that I can make my own 3D games along with some of my friends. I also want to know what goes in to the games I love to play. And I’m overall fascinated with coding.
Hi, it is an actual UK registered business. I started as a freelance after 6+ years of experience and now have a graphic web designer, social media and business development manager and copywriter. I have never looked back!
I bought this course as I want to create my own games, create worlds and make a great story that hopefully others can experience.
I hope to build an multiplayer RPG game that I can play with friends with rng and lots of choices.
I will keep going as making worlds has always been my dream.
I am not satisfied with my current programming skills and knowledge.
I want to learn how create my own indie games. I have a programming background (currently as a PHP dev) . years ago I played around with UDK but didn’t create any games. I hope to learn techniques/principles how to create a game and finish it, and hope to create my first own small game soon.
Hello,
One of the main reasons I am taking this course is to get ahead of my college classes. So far I had learned two programming languages but haven’t learn them to a professional level. I love the aspect in what C++ offers in developing your own games which really what caught my eye. Nonetheless with my older brother being interested in being a game developer I thought it would be a nice process in learning the language with him.
I have always wanted to learn how to code a video game. I am hoping to understand all of the intricacies of developing a video game not only so I can further appreciate the work that others do to create my favorite games, but also so that I can potentially be up there with other greats in the industry creating games that people will enjoy for generations.
