Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

My name is David Magaw. I’m 47 and live in Northern Louisiana. I’m pretty new at this, so be patient with me. I’m usually a quick study, but I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and my typing skills have been greatly affected. My typing is slow, but I usually catch my typos before submitting posts. Please excuse me for any I may miss.

I’m retired (medically), but I always love to learn new things. I do like games, not a big “gamer”, but do enjoy the games I play on my phone and computer. I’m hoping to create a game for other MS’ers to be able to keep their minds and dexterity going. My dexterity problems can really be helped with this course and other’s I’m also starting.

Hello!

My name is Sarah! I am 20 years old and live in Southern California on a Marine Corps base with my husband. We are both avid gamers, but I decided to pursue gaming as a career! I’ve been playing since I was a little girl and started off with Titles such as Spyro and Tekkenon PS2 along with other kids games, as well as a few PC classics from the old Windows set-up and CD-Roms…I have since moved on to the Wii, PS3 and 4, and Xbox 360 and Xbox One to play various games. I love first person and open world adventure/fantasy games! My favorites are Elder Scrolls: Skyrim from Bethesda and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I’m joining the class with little to no experience on coding, but I did one tutorial on Unity 5 before finding this course and made a Roll-A-Ball game. I can’t wait to get better and start making my own games for others to enjoy!

Hello everybody! It’s so nice to see there’s people from all over the world in this community
I’m Sheena and I’m from Malaysia.
I’m very happy to be going through this new journey and finally learning how to make my own game!

Happy Learning everyone!

Hey everybody!

My name is Ibrahim, and I’m from Ottawa, Canada. I’m currently attending university for engineering, but I’ve wanted to learn more about game development for quite a while. I play games, but I’m not that much of a gamer, but I’ve always been thrilled by the ride that some games can take me on. And so I want to tell stories of my own as well.

I don’t have much of a problem programming but I’m not much of an artist. I’m hoping that this course gives me the tools to really get started in game development and is the kick I need.

Best of luck to all of you.

Hi, My name is Essil Miranda and I’m from the Philippines.

I’m a former art teacher for kids with background in a little bit of coding (Adobe Director) and a little bit of web development and design (Adobe Dreamweaver). I am a stay-at-home mom who plays online games in her free time and I’m looking forward to learning about game development in this course.

Greetings, everyone.

I’m Dan, a life-long gamer and pc building enthusiast. I’ve dabbled in programming with classes, hobby work, and game design previously using older engines. Due to life and other things, I have become very rusty. I’d like to refresh myself on the methods and tools the current masters use to tell their stories.

Hi!

I am Manfred Cardenas, I am from the Philippines, a gamer since my early college days.
I took up Computer Science in the hopes of learning how to develop games
but unfortunately, my university did not have much resource at the time and
prioritized foundation and fundamentals. Hopefully this Udemy course
can change that.

Hi all!

Hello everyone, my name is Brent Flournoy and I am from West Texas.
I am 48 and and have been an avid gamer since the days of pong.
My first computer was TI-99 4a back in the day with a cassette for a hard drive.
I have many years of experience in Information Technology with skills in web development, project management, graphic arts, pen and ink, 3D game level design, and computer hardware diagnostics and repair. I have used the Unreal Engine and made several levels but never released much.

Yo Internet People,

My name is Marcus. I also go by Eftiar. I live in Arizona, USA and is currently working a boring call center job trying to improve myself in a field I want to be in which is gaming. I’m 26 years old and been gaming since I was three. Gaming will always interest me and I hope to contribute to this field as well. I like playing all sorts of games. I’m better at platformers than anything else, though I did come from the NES Era after all.

Glad to me apart of this. -Marcus

Hello everyone,

My name is Ricardo Montes and I live in LA. I am currently working as a QA while putting time into developing a mobile game on the side. I want to become a full time developer for my own games. I am hoping to learn a few tricks while taking this course and get practice making more games. Hope you guys can help me with any questions I may have and me to you.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello!
My name is Sebastian. I’m 21 years old and have wanted to learn the basics of game development for a long time; it is a subject that fascinates me. My interest doesn’t come from a professional aspect, more from a curiosity to understand how it all works.

Hopefully this course will be able to answer my questions and hopefully you will all be able to help me out through this process. I will do my best to help you out as well.

Hello everyone,
my name is Eduardo, currently I’m studying computer science so I am really interested on learning Unity so here I am :)´

Cheers

Steve here. I used to do some web dev stuff back in the PHP4 days, so WAYYYY back. I also had put together a couple of small games with flash and rpgmaker2000. I’m looking to get back into it, just bored and looking for something that I found fun and could maybe expand on my skills catalogue.
