Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hy! My name is Vitor, I’m from Brazil and work as a Frontend Developer.

I always dreamed about working in the game industry, so I few months ago I had the opportunity to build a simple game called Dish Catcher, avaiable for Android devices in the playstore, with a friend of mine.

I would like to thank you guys in advance for sharing all this knowledge and hellp people like me around the world to achieve their dreams.

Wish you all great success!

Hello I’m Jacopo and I’m from Italy (Verona). I love videogames and I’m studying as a game designer. I know Unity a bit, and some C# but I want to improve a lot

Hi there,

My name’s Campbell. Im from Scotland. Looking forward to getting stuck in

Hi Everyone !
My name is Chris, I do sound design for games and I want to become more autonomous in my integration work (and give a break to all hard-working programmers), so I think having a solid comprehension of C# is a perfect start.
BUT I also want to use this knowledge to make my own prototypes and games !

Hi,
my Name is Marcel.

I have no experience with Unity until now.
I have a litte experience with C# and a basic understanding of Python. I’m 31 years old and I hope I’m not too old to get into coding and stuff

I life in Dortmund, Germany, I’m very pleased to be here and I’m looking forward to having a great time with the course and the communtiy

You are only too old if you let thoughts like that hold you back. You do what you want and let nothing keep you down. Germany is a cool place, I have been trying to learn the language he he :scream: Good luck!

Hi there,

Originally from Taiwan, currently in NY. Let’s make some games!

James

Hello! I am software developer (usually Java) from Spain, but living in Germany.

During my university days, I loved computer graphics, 3D animation… After some years, now I am eager to learn something different to my everyday work, and enjoy. In fact, game development has been always really interesting for me. And I like the idea to learn C# too!

See you all during the course!

Hey!

I’m Mitch, and I’m a 26 year old Junior .NET developer living in Nottingham, UK.

I’ve been using C# professionally for a little over a year now as a web developer, which I enjoy greatly - but I’ve always wanted to work in games, and this seems like the next logical step in making that happen. Looking forward to getting my hands dirty!

HI!
My name is Alex and I work in telecom. I have some programming experience, but it’s the first time I approach game development, o I’m excited about it.

Hi,

My name is Jesus Cuza. I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in South Florida. I currently live in Orlando, FL working as a data analyst for a fin tech start up called Viewpost. My major was in Finance and was fortunate enough to be learning more or less the equivalent of an MBA in my current position. I also have had the fortune of becoming quite advanced in SQL as well as just completing a Javascript bootcamp (that helped me begin to gain a fundamental understanding of how to read code and how it works).

My ultimate goal and dream is to own my very own Game Studio. Ideally, I want to specialize in VR (because I know that is the future and where we are headed) and become the next Blizzard for VR games. In order to do this, there are a lot of other items that I need to do before I even begin to see some fruition of my dream such as learn and gain a solid fundamental foundation in game development. Therefore, I am here to see this course to completion so I can continue on with my next steps.

I look forward to learning from you all and I hope that I provide some value to you all as well.

Thanks for reading and good luck fellow classmates.

Jesus

Hi everyone!

My name is Vanessa, I’m based in the UK and apart from some basic editing of website and newsletter html I don’t have any other coding experience. I’ve worked in the mobile industry for around eight years for a company called VisionMobile. I have a lot of contact with developers, I send out newsletters, organise prizes for our developer surveys and I realised that if I really want to help developers it would be great to actually start developing myself so I can understand the challenges they face!

For my friends and I it was graphing paper, we would make dungeon games. When we were in college we used coins on a table to make arcade games. People naturally enjoy games I guess! Good luck with the course!

Hi, I’m Kayes from Sydney. I’m basically a .NET developer so pretty familiar with C#. I’d developed games with Java ME and Actionscript/ Flash back in the old days and recently with Javascript. I play games on both Playstation, PC and mobile. I’ve played the new Hitman on PC throughout 2016. I’ve also played the Hitman Sniper game on iOS which is built with Unity. I loved that game very much and I thought it’d be great to have a go at Unity since I already know C# and have some game development experience.

Hi there! I’m Ryan, and I’m from Kentucky! I don’t really have any programming experience or history, but I’ve been fascinated by making games for as long as I can remember. I just never took the leap and started learning. I’ve been too timid, too afraid. Well now I’m 28, and I’m realizing that if I don’t just go in and do it, I’ll never get to, so here I am! I’m looking forward to taking this knowledge and weaving together something beautiful I can share with the world. I can’t wait to see what everyone else creates too!

Hi im Enrique Areosa.

I’m a drummer and thought starting my coding adventure with C# would be cool… I really have no idea what I want to do as regards to work… I guess to be able to make a difference is something we all want, computer programming seems to be a fine way of expressing ones self :video_game: :saxophone:

Hi everybody, I’m Luca Miranda, from Italy!

I am really happy to “jump” into this course and learning about coding and making (i hope!) videogames and interactive stories. I feel a pulse to become a game dev/designer and I’m sure I can find, here, the right steps to improve myself!

Hey there! I’m Onur from Turkey and really excited about starting game development. I know it’s not easy but no need to rush, right? Good luck everybody and have fun while learning.
