Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hello everyone!

I have been craving to make a game I have been pondering for a year now. But as my skills are very limited on making the thing I started watching youtube videos. This was slow process as some tutorials were not finished or not good enough. I found out about Udemy and the courses around december and bought a bunch of lessons for Unity engine, blender and UE4. I hope to kickstart my knowledge with this course and the others. And start my game making career.

Hi all,

I am looking to become a games developer in the future and also I enjoy coding and computer games so here I am! I saw this on offer in the new years deals.

Matt.

Hi & Konnichiwa, Ben and everyone! Thank you so much for letting me in this community.

My name is Tsunehiro Nonaka (Call me Tsune). I am a Japanese living in Brisbane, Australia.
My dream is to create great games to increase studentsā€™ engagement level and proficiency in my class.
I actually teach Japanese to my students. I do believe game has a great potential to improve and enhance their learning. I have just started learning how to make games. So it would be great if we could exchange useful information to create games for education.

Thank you and arigato.
Talk to you soon!

And a happy new year!

Hi Everyone,

Iā€™m Rick, I currently live near Vancouver in Canada and am studying a Computer Studies and Information Systems diploma as a mature student. I had an introduction to C# last semester and really enjoyed it so I thought I would take the initiative and try to further my learning in the subject. I enjoy playing city building and transport simulation games, and am currently playing Cities:Skylines and Transport Fever, maybe one day I can contribute to such a game

Hello there,

My name is Joshua B. Estes. Iā€™m 21 years old, and I currently live in Central Florida. I fell in love with the survival horror genre around 2010 (ever since Iā€™ve played ā€œAmnesia: The Dark Descentā€), and my love for games has been growing ever since. I someday want to become a game developer, and hopefully make an indie game studio as well. Having no education in game designing, Iā€™m glad I have found out about this course. It will be a good place to start learning to code in the Unity engine. I am excited and confident for this education to start my journey into game designing.

Many thanks, and a Happy New Year to you all! ^- ^

Hi All,
My name is Gina and Iā€™m one of the old timers wanting to learn new things. Just finished with my BS in computer science in 2015, but still taking mini courses to try to keep up to date on anything computer related. Have a grandson that wants to be a gamer when he grows up and wants me to teach him how to do it all. Hope this course will give me a good start.

Good to see someone else from Colorado. Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Iā€™m Sei, Iā€™m a graduate of advertising arts and Iā€™m from the Philippines. Iā€™m 23 years old. I decided to move my career into a different direction, thus Iā€™m diving right to game development. Iā€™m a gamer and I wanted to develop games ever since I started, unfortunately there werenā€™t any game development courses during my time in college, I would want to know the process of game development and incorporate my artistic skills to create something really cool. And think Iā€™ll be really excited to have gaming as a long term job ^^ Nice meeting you guys! Canā€™t wait to learn a lot of things from this course!

Hi all, Iā€™m James. Finished my Computer Science degree last month, working as a Software Tester using various programming languages. Initially wanted to take this course to learn C# as I didnā€™t learn it at university, but always loved gaming so would like to make some games!

Hi! Iā€™m Tim. I have a BA in Music with a minor in Biological Sciences and I graduated from my BEd degree in Secondary Education this past year.

I have had some experience with coding, mostly to do with music applications (CSound, some Processing), but I never really dove deep into it before.

Iā€™ve had a casual interest in game development for a while now, so Iā€™m excited to start the course!

Hello,My name is Britt,Just decided to try something new and see what i can learn and do.

Hello Everyone!!! My name is Zwe Htet Aung. I am Myanmar, working in Singapore. I really want to be a game developer.

Hello everyone, my name is Thadoe Than Htut, you can call me Andrew. My most frequent way of spending time is to play some FPS (first person shooter) and social games like CS:GO and Garryā€™s Mod. I love to talk and discuss about new computer hardware and software out in the market and many thing unrelated to them such as science, social and ethic matters. Iā€™ve started my interest in making games when heard about my friends in senior highschool years making mods for games and designing 3D models. But ultimately I believe it is because of those inspirational people before me who made games with cutting edge performance in gameplay and so refined that it hardly ever crashes. They are like gems. Iā€™ve had some good experience with Java and CSS over the past 5 years.

My ultimate goal is to establish a successful game development company and build titles that would be popular and remain golden for decades. It would be PC games and some mobile ones too. That is what I believe for my career. Itā€™s not going to be easy seeing how many people are competing in both the mainstream and the indie games market. So here I am, learning from this course to further my ambitions for game development. Thank you for reading!

Oh my, a fellow Burmese. How rare indeed.

Hi, my name is Robert. I am new to Unity but have recently decided that it is something I simply must learn to use, first of all to make games, and second to know C#

Thanks

Hi,

my name is Kris and I live in Germany.

I work as a Frontend Developer, passionate about simple, but complex survival/building/sandbox games like RimWorld and Starbound.

But the games are not as satisfying as I want them to be. So I decided to get started into the world of game development.
