Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hello Everyone,

My name is Jim. I’m 28 years old and live in the USA. I stumbled across this course on Facebook a few hours back. I’ve been a die-hard video game fan since I was a kid and I unfortunately do not have a set career path as of yet. I’ve always pondered what it would be like to actually make a video game, and after looking into this course, I figured I’d give it a shot! I can’t wait to meet this community and be a part of it!

Nice to meet all of you! Time to dive in!

Hello!

My name is Adrian Fuentes, I am from Spain but I work and live in Hamburg, Germany.
I work as Senior Game Designer. I am familiar with Unity as we use it at the studio for a year, but I want to get some experience developing some game projects on it from scratch by myself, since I am not scripting or doing any code for a long time.

Nice to meet you all!

Hi All,
My name is Chandan and I reside in the USA. I have lately become interested in 3D technology as a whole so I decided to learn Blender to get a better understanding.
I don’t know how old you have to be to learn but I hope that at 57 years of age I’m old enough. Can’t wait any longer to get started :}

Hi everyone!

My name is Laurence. I’m 31 and currently work in Networking for a major telecoms company in the UK. I have always had a strong passion for gaming, technology and the arts in general. Since the age of 5 I have passionately played video games starting from Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive to now owning a PS4 and a gaming PC.

I have had a fair bit of experience with 3D modelling in Blender as well as taking a course with Escape Studios in London in Digital Compositing. This required some knowledge of Python but I have never used an object oriented programming language before and always wanted to learn one like C# but often struggled to get the motivation to delve into it.

Because of my love of video gaming, and also appreciation of the power of the Unity engine (some of my favourite games are built using the engine), I saw this course as a good opportunity to not only learn Unity but also get some knowledge of C#. I hope to use the knowledge to work on some small projects with some close friends, mainly as a hobby to start off with.

I really look forward to taking part in this community and working my way through the course.

Good luck all. Cheers!

Hi there!,
My name is Bartek ,I’m 24 and I live in Wroclaw, Poland and I’m studying telecommunication science. I played my first game when I was 6 and I’m still play since then, I’m just starting to learn programming and probably it’s one of my best ideas to learn through making things i like. Hope one day I will be able to get a job in CD Projekt RED ( Witcher is one of my favourite - and I would love to participate in creating that world ).

Wish you all good luck in studying and hope I Will get a chance to see your games on Steam!

NIce to meet you all!

Hello world!

My name is Robert, I am 20 years old, and currently studying Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Recently, I have been working mostly in front-end web and mobile development at small companies and startups. I enjoy playing computer games in my free time, especially MMORPGs, FPS, and rhythm games. I’d love to get my feet wet in native desktop app/game development and game design through this course, so I may use what I learn here in more ambitious game development projects in the future!

Nice to meet you!

Hello everyone. My name is Tad Davis and I’ve just started the Udemy course for learning to 3D model and animate with Blender. I’m super excited to be learning this. I’m currently a Mechanical Engineering student in Texas and I’m working on launching a company focused around new teaching tools, which is why I’m learning to animate since I don’t currently have any team members with that particular skill set lol. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.

Hi, I’m Nick. I already do some software development using RAD (Rapid Application Development) tools such as Fusion 2.5 Developer (no coding) and NeoBook (has its own scripting language). I do website development using CMSes such as WordPress and Joomla. Primarily, though, I use WordPress as well as Internet Marketing. I do know some PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Currently I’m doing a Udemy course that deals with developing native Android apps in Java. For the longest time I’ve had an interest in .NET and saw a great deal on this course ($10) and decided it was a deal I couldn’t pass up. My interest in software development is mainly with applications. However, I do look forward to learning more about .NET, Blender, and game development. I’m always ready to expand my technical knowledge.

Hello everyone!

My name is Jule Antonio Aguilar. I’m currently working as an intern at Monstronauts Inc. and I love playing video games. I’m also a YouTuber that enjoys playing horror games. Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone! My name is Caleb… I’m not really sure what else to put here. Sorry.

Hi, guys! My name’s Phoenix (yes, really). I’ve been messing about with playing and making games for probably the last decade or so, but haven’t really taken it seriously.

You know, I’ve got a little bit of knowledge here and there, but not really enough to be able to sit down and complete anything significant. I’ve played about with Unity before, but couldn’t really get the hang of it, so I’m looking forward to seeing what I can learn from this course, learn from all you guys, and what projects we can create!

Nice to meet you people.

Hey, my name’s Tyler Shap. I’m currently a uni student going into computer science, but I’ve been wanting to get some game development under my sleeve for a while now. I know a bit of C++ already, as well as some web design languages like HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but that’s about it. Still in progress with all this stuff.

Who knows! This course might catalyze my change of major. I’ve always thought game development / working in the entertainment industry would be fun and rewarding.

Hello!

This is Alex speaking from Planet Awesome! I am really excited to start my game development and software development career having just graduated from UCF with a bachelors in computer science. With gaming being one of my hobbies, I aspire to create top notch games that I can enjoy with my friends. I am always willing to work with others and learn as much as I can. So lets get to it!

Good luck!

Greetings, everyone. My name is Darius, 21 years old. I’m from Lithuania, currently a 3rd year student, studying Applied Physics + economics. I find myself to be a rather curious person (mostly the reason how I got here) + I’m a hardcore gamer. I thought this course could be a fun ride. I’ve always dreamed about being able to create something. I have a good imagination but never had the tools to turn it into reality apart from writing stories. Pretty excited going into this.

I hope this course will not dissapoint.

Hey everyone!
My name is Amber, 19 years old. I’m from the Netherlands and currently a first year Game Engineering student.
Since i didn’t really have any prior experience in programming when starting the Game Engineering course i find myself having some trouble keeping up with the fast pace at school. So to try and catch up a bit i wanted to try this course since next quartile we will also start working with Unity. I also play games (not that often since starting college ^^") and mostly play Overwatch, Hearthstone, or just games on my 2DS.

I hope this course will help me get some more experience
