Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hello Everyone! I’m Tyrus, I’m a sophomore software engineering student at Siena Heights in Michigan. I picked up this course because I want to learn about the inner workings of video games and also to improve my capabilities as a coder. I also am in love with C# from a coding standpoint so this should be a fun course! Thanks everyone.

Hello! my name is Alirio im from Venezuela

Hi,
My name is Yoni Edelstein and I’m programming in c# right now

Go go go,

My name is Henry, I’m a hardcore gamer. I am here to learn how to make video games. And I NEVER do any programming.

Hello, my name is Maria (although some call me “Żółw”, which is the Polish word for tortoise). I’m from Poland, and I am interested in a variety of things, including video games, and have always wanted to try programming. So here we go!

Hello all, Im Tiago. Im a casual gamer…one of my dreams is to be a computer game programmer, thats why i have choosen this course!

[Greeting] [Name Above]
Attempting to round-out skills in order to complete projects by myself. Have been involved with a few game creation groups and found unfocussed or unrealistic projects coupled with poor leadership or none. I am a very determined and dedicated, largely analytical individual who would in most circumstances “rather-not”. Would love focussed, determined, like-minded individuals to build a team and a future with.

Hi, everybody! My name is Joao Kula. I live in Curitiba, Brazil. I’ve always wanted to know more about how to build games and, as I am an “old school” programmer (I’m 46 y.o), I think attending this course will be also a good opportunity to update my skills with new technologies.

Cheers,

Joao Kula

Hello, nice to meet you. My name is John Roberts, I’m from Ontario, Canada. Game development has long been a dream of mine but I’ve had to put the dream away many years ago. I’ve never entirely given up and now I’d like to get back into it. I’m a systems administrator but I used to be a developer. Best of luck to everybody!

Hello, I’m Christel from Santa Rosa, California. I received this class for backing the RPG kickstarter, and am trying to get in some Unity experience before that gets going. I’m a life-long programmer and have programmed 2-D games using graphics libraries, but am new to 3-D programming and game engines. I started with the Unreal Engine course not too long ago and have been enjoying that, but now that I know more, I think Unity might be a better fit for the types of games I would like to make. So I am looking forward to getting started with Unity and seeing how the two engines compare.

Hi everyone,

My name is David. I am 22 and recently graduated university with a Physics Degree. I am now working at a local tech company who makes emulators for smartphones. It is simple html coding and I would like to extend my otherwise limited coding skills into game design!

Most of my experience is in the Wolfram and MATLAB languages but I have limited coding experience elsewhere. Ultimately I would like to understand the structure behind code in games; basically how does the .exe file interact with the rest of the program to make the game run? I would like to use this to learn more about Skyrim and how some of the community coding projects work.

I am excited to start and it’s nice to meet everyone!

Hi,
