Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hi I’m John, I’ve actually used blender a bit in the past and completed a couple of projects, I think its fantastic software but I’m finding it tough just to understand a lot of the terminology and working out how to do the more complex stuff.

I’m more of an audio person Im a free lance DJ / music producer but have done some historic recreations of castles / roman forts for a phone app I worked on and would really like to get better in this area.

Hello All,

I am Eve, and I live in Cornwall, UK.

I like to play games, although time to play is becoming less and less, so I have become more of a casual gamer.

I am doing this course with my Partner who is a Computing for Games Lecturer at Falmouth Uni, so he’ll be a big help, and he’s the reason why I’m delving in and having a go.

Hello I am a recovering student who saw this course and was interested in it. I figure I have already spent tens of thousands of dollars on my education, what is 15 more? I have an associates in IT so my knowledge is a bit more general, but I am interested in understanding different programming languages.

Hi. I am Roy and I enjoy “playing” games. I had never done any modifications and creation of games but had been curious for a long time. I would love to create some games in the future. For now, I will try my best to learn to use the tool. I am not that savvy with creating original drawings, especially those that I see moving in 3D. I might try to take some 3D editing tools tutorials. Feel free to make suggestions to a beginner. I would really appreciate it.

My comfort zone has been in working with Command Line Interfaces administration in Linux. So, I consider myself sort of a dinosaur. Goodluck to me… and to all.

Hello everyone,

I’m Emir (a.k.a Mirko) from Argentina. I am Business Analyst on a little company, here in Córdoba, Argentina, but I am passionate with Game Development. So, I’m taking this training course of Unity to do it in the best way.
I have a lot of good expectations on this training course because until now I have learnt a lot and I’m grateful for it.
I created a Game Developing Company with two friends and together we are trying to create our first game to publish it next year. Wish me luck on that.

Thank you for all the magic, guys.

Hey All,

I’m Brian from Alabama in the United States. I work as a quantitative analyst. I do a lot of work in R and some web development stuff. I’m interested in this course to get an overview of C# but also to learn some of the techniques and design patterns for games. I’m hoping it could be useful in some of the simulation work I do.

Hi,

I am Paul and I am a high school Music and English teacher from rural Australia.

I am looking to see how learning to code and using unity can be used in teaching, whether creating content or on-teaching to students to creative interactive music software or stories.

Hi. I’m Carl and I work as a Systems Engineer for a FTSE 100 company, working with C# as my primary language. I have tried creating games with Unity in the past, and actually have two assets on the asset store, however, when it comes to the actual game development, I never finish them, as I always seem to get sidetracked and lack the motivation to get back into it.

I am hoping having the course structure will get me in the correct mindset required to be able to do this, as I feel I have some quite unique creative ideas, and the skillset from my day job, to accomplish something in the game dev world.
