Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hello all, pleasure to “meet” you. I’m a game developer intern currently leveraging Unity platform to program HoloLens applications. I’m also a computer engineer with computer architecture and programming background. Ever since I was a child, I play a lot of games. I have to say learning how a game works behind the scene is exciting and fun. Can’t wait to unravel more techniques in the journey of making some awesome games.

Hello,
My name is Clay, and I am a senior at the University of Washington studying computer science. I have been working on some very helpful books for Unity for the last month or two, and found them all pretty lacking in the scripting department and usually leaving me with more questions than when I started. Extremely eager to work through this course and see what I can do!

My big interests are most definitely music and I am working on a way to revolutionize the live performance space by using programs I developed to really include the crowd on the whole experience. If this sounds like something that interests you, hit me up, we can bounce ideas back and forth!

I am mostly interested in making games and apps for Virtual Reality, so I think this course may be the winner for getting me past the first step. Eager to work (sort of) with you guys!

Hi, all.
My name is Christian from Mexico and I’m studying Digital Arts.
I have had the opportunity to use Unity for the last four months, but I have had problems when coding is involved. Now I have the time to improve my programming skills, and I hope this course will be very helpful to me.

Thank you all

Hi! My name is Mauricio and I’m from Colombia, I’m currently working as a level designer for Ark: Survival Evolved and I want to learn how to program to be less dependent on programmers so I can try out my own projects.

Hello my friends!!
My name is Diogo and I’m from Brazil.
Want to learn game programming and help friends with their questions and doubts!

See ya!

Greetings and salutations from the beloved country of Turkey, Istanbul.
I ve worked for online gaming companies for years now want to learn things that i never thought i could. It’s time for me to show my true potential via this promising course.

A friend of mine referred and here I am.

So lets get moving! Blood, sweat and tear, here I come!

I am a stay at home mom with three boys and a huge fan of VR. I have never done any programming. I am taking this course to gain a basic understanding of Unity as it applies to virtual reality game development. Who knows, maybe one day I will develop my own VR game.

Nice to meet you all. My name is Max. I’m student at Warsaw Film School - Game Design course. I work as junior frontend/backend developer full-time. I’m part of group that is working on game which we have to finish before we pass our course. I want to improve my C# skills and unity programming as much as I can. I believe we can all success and do what we love.

Hello, I am Serafina and I am Psychology/ Anthropology major. I play a lot of different games (mostly LoL) and thought it would be fun to learn how to make some of them.

Hello, I’m Kate. I’m a game desing student from Poland. I only just started my studies and want to learn as much on the topic of games as I can

Hey everyone, I’m Thom. No experience with coding or anything like that, just want to learn something new. Hoping this will be an exciting and worthwhile experience for me

Hi everyone,

My name is James. I’ve been programming for a year or so now, mainly using Java. I started to make simple games along the lines of Space Invaders in order to give me some focus and challenge when learning to code and it’s been a lot of fun. So far, everything I’ve made has been scratch build in Java. I fancied trying my hand at Unity and this course looked like a great way to do that while also getting a feel for C#.

I’m very much looking forward to getting stuck into the content and hope to speak to many of you soon on the forums!

All the best

James

Hi~

My name is Travis, Like Neatharu above me I have been programming for about a year in Java. I’m working towards an Oracle Java certification through my college, but this seems like fun detour!

Looking forward to learning unity!

Hello everyone. My name is Jim. I’m a visual artist in my 30s who’s decided to make a change of career and try to be a video game programmer/designer. I’m particularly interested in Unity because of its applications for Hololens. I’m very interested in making games for Hololens.

Yop !
I am Pierre, 23 yo, french guy living in Japan. I am an AI engineer and I want to discover Unity : it may be useful to design some great applications and to visualize some complex notions (algorithms, 4D, mathematics, …). I also love games (even if I am not a gamer), and it would be good to learn how they are built

Hey!

I’m Thom. I have a little programming history, but am mostly doing this for a hobby - I’ve always wanted to build a video game since I was a kid and since this course was on sale and had such good reviews I really had no excuse!

I have completed the first few sections of the course and think it’s great - it’s so exciting to learn all this new stuff and rewarding to see it take shape.

Great to see how active the course is and I hope to take an active part in discussions - see ya round!

Greetings from Istanbul/Turkey,

Nice to meet you all!

I’m very excited to learn Unity and game development.

Wish you a good course!

Hi guys,

Simon from Poland reporting for duty.

Couldn’t resist Black Friday deal :). Did a little research and decided that despite the fact that there are billions of free courses and tutorials paying will make me more eager to actually do the course and not drop out after couple lessons.
I am quite familiar with Unity, though only used it through Playmaker (and to test other people work) - good tool, but C# will allow me to finally do things “the right way”.
Let’s see if I can actually pull it of :).

All the best and good luck in maintaning focus - no place for quiters here

Hi guys,

I’m Pola from Poland, although I’ve made England my home for the past few years. I’ve always been a casual gamer but really keen to create my own game, maybe it’s finally time to do it. I’m planning to make a pixel art platformer about David Bowie lol

Completely new to Unity an everything, I’ve done a very basic introduction to a few programming languages, so not expecting to create a masterpiece just yet. Watch this space though…

Hello everyone. I’m Ben. I write frontend web code for a living today but four years ago coding was only a hobby. My goal over the next four years is to achieve that same level of personal growth through game development. I’ve dabbled in Blender and Unity tutorials in the past, but this is my first financial investment in learning these skills.

I look forward to getting to know you all as we work together on our shared journey.
