Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hi all,

My names Ben. I’m a 20-year-old English and American Literature undergraduate student studying at Goldsmiths University in London, and I’m in my final year. Most of my time is taken up by my University studies but I’d like to get in to this course as much and often as I can.

I’ve loved gaming since I was little, watching my dad play on his Playstation after coming home from work when I was very little, and it was the best thing in the world back then when he’d let me have a go. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of playing many classics, old and new, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker are two of my all-time favorite videogames.

I have a love for stories, which lead me to where I’m currently studying, but I’ve also had a love for videogames - I saw the opportunity with this course to be able to combine the two. I hope to get as much out of this course as possible, but as you can probably tell I am going to be pretty much a beginner, outside of being adept with computers (PC Master Race).

Excited to get in to this course as soon as possible!

Thanks,

Ben

Greetings programs! Err… programmers!

I’m Justin, I live way out in the boonies of Rural Nevada, USA. I’ve had quite a diverse resume, everything from Fast Food to Graphic Design to IT Managed Services.

I currently run my own business, Tumbleweed Technology Consulting where I do IT break/fix, IT proactive maintenance, web application (I typically use some variation of MEAN or MERN stacks, or Meteor JS, depending on the project) and website design and maintenance.

I grew up around video games and it was always my dream to go from playing them to making them. Life took me on a slightly different path, but luckily there are many off-ramps from what I do, to what I want to do.

I really enjoy science fiction, so most of the projects that come out of me will probably be within that genre.

I look forward to talking and perhaps collaborating with everyone!

Hello, my name is Arthur and I am from Brazil and looking forward to learn some more about Unity while using C#.

Hello, everyone! My name’s Glen and I live in the UK.

I recently got back from Singapore after studying at FZD School of Design. I’m now looking to bolster my skill set further by diving into some programming for a better understanding of how things work in the pipeline. I’m an avid gamer myself, love to draw and come up with some fun concept design ideas. I’m hoping to transfer my existing knowledge and apply it later to what I’m about to learn with the Unity software for some fun results.

Hi! My name is Yegor, i’m from Kazakhstan. I am 21 years old.

From early childhood I loved video games, and all the time he wanted to create the game. This is my dream and goal in life.

In school, I studied Pascal, and was engaged in game servers. When I went to college, specialty technician programmer. Study was interesting, and I’m all over the place trying to implement a video game in his scientific work. It was a demo version of the game that I did not finish. But I stood it out against other students, teachers surprising.

Then, I have been actively studied 3D modeling, in particular blender3D, and now can boast of some good knowledge in this field.

In Udemy I came by accident, and I hope that this will be a good experience that will allow me to get closer to my dream - to make games! :3

Hello everyone!
My name is Keerthana and I am from India. Right now I am pursuing my masters in Computer Science in Univeristy of Houston Clearlake, Houston, Texas. I am 24 and as I am interest to develop small games made me join this course and have 0% knowledge in this area. But another reason is that my younger brother is very fond of games and stuff and to show my love to him I joined here so that it may be helpful if he need any information for him in future  )

Hello everyone!

My name is LaTora, and I am a single mother and library shelver from Alberta, Canada. While I don’t have a professional background in this sort of thing, I did learn coding and application basics back in high school, some animation basics in college, and have been teaching myself in everything from HTML to Maya and even some Unity ever since. I love working with computers and trying to figure things out, and I used to be a pretty avid gamer until I started writing a lot of fantasy-based forum RPG.

Hi team!

I’m Karl and I’m from New Zealand. Being involved in the gaming industry was my dream all through high school but I never actually gave it a go, for a variety of complex and boring reasons. I have minor coding experience and I used to make maps in the Warcraft 3 map editor - that’s about the extent of my skills. I’m hoping this course will re-ignite my passion and lead to a potential career.

Toodles,

Karl

Thanks guys!
