Hi everyone.
I’m Dustin and I’m currently studying Applied Informatics. Aside from computer science I’m also interested in sketching and 3D-modeling, so I started this course.
Until now I’ve mostly used Blender to render models I made in the simpler program SketchUp.
Hello Everyone!
My name is Ronald. I am from Canada. My goal is to learn 3D modelling and animation geared toward entertainment and education.
Hi everyone,
My name is Koen. I’m currently working as a photographer and have studied communication and multimedia design. My goal is to make awesome 3d models which I can use in my photo’s or as a support of my stories I’m planning to write. Ultimately I want to recreate some scenery from “anton pieck” and the “diorama hal” in the “Efteling”
Hi Everyone!
What a great sale they have going on!
My name is Shana (Shawna) and I am from Texas.
I currently work full-time as a Shipping Controller and run my own small business on the side; Custom T-shirts, Banners, Signs and Small Business Web Development, Build and Hosting service. As I said, it is a very small business with a handful of returning clients.
I attended Devry University and am 3/4 of the way through a BS in Multimedia Design and Development program. During this time, I was introduced to several gaming engines and 3-D modeling. Have never been able to figure either one out completely on my own. So, I thought I would give this a try and see what happens…
I look forward to interacting and learning from you all.
Hello people!!
- My name is Daniel;
- I’m from Brazil;
- Undergraduate student of Information Systems;
- I’ve always been interested in computer graphics, and 3D modeling was something I never learned;
- I am also enrolled in game development courses made by you (Unity and Unreal);
- I hope that the knowledge gained in the course of Blender will help me as a game developer that I intend to be;
Thanks!
Hi,
My name is Trevor, but I use the nickname TaoDude for my software development activities here and on GitHub, as well as a few other forums. I am an engineer by training and have been writing embedded software for more years than I care to remember, and am now starting a foray into games using Unity and Unreal (I am part-way through the Complete Unity course as I start this).
My main interest in Blender is to produce assets for some of the game ideas that I have. I can already use it a bit and know a bit of Python from using my array of Raspberry Pis, so I mainly need help with textures and rendering.
My Dad is a proper artist, using paints and brushes, but I am more at home using computers. I am not that good at figures and such, so I’ll probably concentrate on creating environments, possibly pulling in elements of some of the photographs that I have taken to add a bit of realism.
Looking forward to doing this course,
Best,
Tao
Hi Everyone. My Name is redeagle1010, I would like to learn all that blender has to offer, then make games and still art, either as my own business or working with other artist.
Hello. My name is Mykyta (22), I am a game-designer-to-be from Ukraine. Video games have been my passion since I was a wee lad and have a dream of becoming on owner of a gamedev studio.
For the most part I am a self-taught developer (lectures and seminars are not my thing), learning programming, modeling, texturing etc. from bits and pieces I gathered online. However, when I found out about a community of people, who share my interests and strive to learn together as a group, I immediately signed up.
Looking forward to the journey and hope to find fellow beginners to conquer the gaming industry with me!
Hi. My name is Andrei, I am very keen to learning to design games and make them, they have been a part of my life and I’ve learned a thing or two about how they work so, I said to myself why not make my own so without any more comments I’m looking forward to make this happen.
Hi everyone!
I’m Martin, 35, living in Hamburg, Germany. I’ve been working in IT as an onsite technician for the last 7-8 years.
English is not my native language so if something comes across the wrong way please don’t hold it against me - just let me know.
I’ve been playing computer games for a long time and still have fond menories of the “good old” dos games where games seemed simpler (but no less fun) and not everything needed to be a “tripple A” title done by huge teams of developers with a multi-million budget.
This is the first online course I ever paid for (at least from what I remember) and I’m looking forward to diving into the world of Blender (and hopefully pulling through with it this time).
I have some prior experience with low-poly 3D modeling (with “Milkshape 3D” and a few failed attempts at picking up Blender on my own) from a couple of years ago when I provided all the built-in 3D models for a freeware pinball construction kit called “Future Pinball” but I never took it any further after that and have probably forgotten most of what I taught myself back then.
With this course I hope to build up decent skills at 3D modeling, texturing and animation (mainly geared towards realtime 3D game engine usage for building in-game models/items for mods and the likes).
Eventually I would also like to learn some (Unity engine) programming and combine these worlds into something fun.
I’m really excited about the growing possibilities of (mobile) VR and if -one day- I can build my own little game or team up with someone that would be fantastic…
So, have fun everyone
Hello,
I am Dennis and I was loving 3D-modelling since I have been looking into 3D-printing. I was looking for ways to make your own things for 3D-printing, but I started loving Blender 3D in the meantime. I am not sure yet which of the many possibilities I want to specialize in (if any), but I have enjoyed it in the past.
This means, I have quit in the past because I didn’t feel like I have the time, but now I do.
Here we go, greetings!
Hello!
I am Diego. I studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Digital Art where I learned Maya in depth but only a bit of Blender. As I am preparing to study a Master’s degree in Game Design, I’d like to have a solid grounding in Blender and, if at all possible, to be able to learn as much rendering tricks as I learned with Maya and Mental Ray.
Also, I am deeply interested in learning rigging and skinning in Blender. I was mostly taught some modeling and UV mapping back when I was in college.
Greetings to all fellow new students and hullo to all fellow Digital Artists.
-Diego

Hello everyone!
My name is Daniël and am currently studying Communication and Multimediadesign.
The reason I took this course is to get a better understanding of blender and 3d-modeling, mostly to make games. I have used Blender before, but I want to really get into it and start using it more for my own projects. Apart from this course I have also enrolled in the Unity and UDK courses.
I wish everyone the best for this course and look forward to helping/learning from each other
Hello all,
My name is Shelby. I am currently study Graphic Design and will be graduating with my associates this coming Spring. From there I hope to transfer and begin my career with animation. I’m from the Midwest, specifically where you can hardly find an education for video game design or animation - only graphic design. It is my hope to one day be a 3D Animator or 3D Modeler for a company focused in movie production.
Friend told me about Udemy, and I believe I am finally heading in the right direction! Very excited!
Hi there!
My name is Casey. I am very interested in the necessity of understanding 3D modelling for the future. I can see how important 3D space will be for printing and VR and I am looking forward to learning more about it!
Hello everyone!
My name is Chris Romero and like a lot of you I chose to take this course to get started in creating my very own 3D models to use in my video games. With VR, AR, and 3D printing on the rise I am sure that the skills that I develop through this course will be invaluable.
Hi everyone,
The name is Wikus. I’m from South Africa. My goal with this course is to learn Blender. I already have working knowledge of other 3D software like Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Mudbox and ZBrush. In the end, I would like to be able to create my own side scrolling action adventure game (Thank you Oddworld for the inspiration)
Regards,
Wikus
Hello everyone,
My name is Kieran. I’m new to Blender and am hoping to create and edit my own 3D models for use in my animation projects, as well as just learn more about Blender in general. I’m excited to see where this course will take me!
Hi everyone, I’m Mike. I’m a programmer by trade and run a small studio in the UK with one of my close friends. We’ve already started the design and development of our own games with any spare time we get, but are short an art team; so I’ve decided it’s time I expand my horizons a bit!
I’m looking forward to working on character modelling and animation mainly, and will find it very eye-opening and interesting to get more of an in-depth feel as to how the art pipeline works!
It’s great to see such a variety of people from different places in this forum, looks like I’ve made a good decision on taking this course.
Happy learning, everyone!
Hi folks,
I’ve been a programmer for almost 20 years. When I started, game programming and art was a very dark and unreachable world from my country, Brazil. Now, things have become really different and I believe I finally got the time and resources to run after my old dream of making games. I’m old enough to know that a lone programmer gets nowhere without knowledge in 3d modeling, and I’m planning to start simple, so I’m going through the Blender and Unity courses.
Before I became a programmer, I almost took my chances with graphical arts, so I believe I may dig up ghosts from the past with this course
My goal is to understand how modeling and animation work, I really don’t know a thing. Maybe finishing the course being able to use blender to generate sprites for 2d games?
May the force be with us.
