Welcome Everyone!

Hi, My name is Essil Miranda and I’m from the Philippines.

I’m a former art teacher for kids with background in a little bit of coding (Adobe Director) and a little bit of web development and design (Adobe Dreamweaver). I also know a little bit of 3d modelling (Maya) as well as 2d animations both traditional and digital. I am a stay-at-home mom who plays online games in her free time and I’m looking forward to learning about game development in this course.

Hi, I’m Christel from Santa Rosa, California. I got my degree in Computer Science back in 1986, and did text and 2D game programming both in my childhood and professionally in the early 1990’s. In recent years I tried to get back into game development, but got pretty stuck on the transition to 3D till I recently started Ben’s Unreal course.

I received this course with the RPG kickstarter, and learning Blender was recommended to get ready for that, so here I go! I’ve worked a very little bit with 3ds Max, but ultimately got too intimidated by it and gave up, and people say Blender is even harder, but hey, I’m confident the teaching will be great. I’ll be happy if I learn the basics so as to gain an understanding of the role Blender plays in the game development process.

Hello. I am Spencer Whetstone. I have an interest in Photogrammetry using Photoscan and RealityCapture. I am experienced in the 2D world of Adobe Creative Cloud and am looking to expand my skills.

I am working with a friend who is moving photogrammetry derived 3D models into the Unreal game engine. I have signed up for the Unreal course as well.

I am a complete novice in 3D modeling and thought that this course would give me a start in that direction.

Hey,
Mij name is Stefan, I’m 20 years old and I make a lot of videos for friends, family and the theatre I work at. I use Première and Photoshop a lot and I would love to use Blender to upgrade those video’s with some cool animations!

Hello everyone.
My name’s Guilherme, I’m a 21 years old brazilian.
I enrolled both this Blender course and the Unity one on Udemy, since my goal is to become a game dev. My primary goal is to master (or at least learn how to handle) Unity, but learning Blender is also very desired because I know no other 3D artists and would like to make my games without having to worry about it. In the future this will hopelly change, but for now I’m on my own.
That said, nice to meet you all, and I’m looking forward to contribute to this community and become part of it.

Hello, My name is Eric, and I have a dream of creating my own video game. I have the idea, but no idea how to start, so I figured the art, of which I am slightly inclined, would be a great place to start, just to have the assets in advance…

Hi!
I’m also from Brazil!

I just started Blender, dunno a thing about it… it’s quite scary at first, right? o_o
I got a Unity course on Udemy too! Maybe it’s the same one? Idk, so many!
Anyway, just hang in there! Cya!

Hi! I’m Amber. I’m looking to learn a new computer program to forward my skills. I’ve used maya to model before but now that I’m out of school my maya subscription has ended. I’m looking forward to learn modeling in blender in order to model for some games I would like to create, and for future job possibilities.

Hi! My name is Mik Zarzuela and I’m from the Philippines.

I am a Graphic designer/Illustrator and I took a course before in 3D modeling and animation (Maya) but was not really able to use it at work. Now I want to get back into it and this time I want to actually use it as part of my new skill set. Been wanting to get into video games as I am a gamer myself. Lately I am leaning towards my illustrator side and I feel like learning 3D is the next level of that skill.

Bought the course a while back, did not start until now. Exited to finally get Blender skills sorted so that I can design my many projects.

Ultimate goal: From idea, through Blender and then CNC / 3D print.

Hello, my name is Mileva and I’m a animaton student. At my school i have a 3d course but i feel it’s not enough, so that’s why I’m taking this course with you guys. I was very excited when i the first classes ben & michael mentioned animation, I must say that i have lots of enthusiasm.
(sorry if my english is bad)

The stuff you have on behance is amazing! (Little Viking kid is my favourite)
I’d love to get into character modelling, yours are awesome.

Hello everyone, I learned about Blender years ago and I’ve tried to learn more about it, but time had always been an issue. I honestly think that here I’ll find a way to be more committed. Art and animation are what brought me to blender first, and also to use it as a video editor. Some independent projects for a few characters I’ve been working on and also hoping to make assets for video games. I do love video games, mostly fantasy. I’m new to 3D printing, but is something I want to do more and more wth time.

Hey Guys!

My name is Megan and I am a first year 2D animation student. I am working a lot with TVpaint at the moment but I want to learn 3D modelling as well. I thought Blender would be great to do so. Thanks to the discount on Udemy I am finally setting my first step to do so. I did work with Cinema 4D in the past, but I am more curious what Blender might teach me.

I think it’s important to broad your horizons and learn as much as possible. I am very enthusiastic to begin with this course, cant wait! I am not a great artist(yet) but I am definitely trying to work as hard as possible.

To see some of my 2D work (and eventually 3D work) you may have a look at my Instagram, or you can follow me.

I love to talk to people about creative interest, so dont be shy!
