Hello every one
As the title says, I have an issue about scaling and rotating an object in “object mode”.
Here’s a few clues:
-it works in edit mode
-it work in object mode if i use the “fransform” window
-shortcuts “R”, “S” don’t work, but “G” still works.
Yes of course, i’m sorry i didn’t know which info would be valuable
-I’m on windows 10
-I’m on blender 4
-I use a 5 add ons: auto-mirror, LoopTools, Node Wrangler, Rigify, Bool tool
-right now, I’m on the course: Blender character creator: sculpt and animate your own model
Just in case this is a Nvidia issue, how could I fix it?
thank you very much in any case
Another Thing you can check is if you have any modifiers or object constraints on your object. There is for example a copy rotation and copy scale object constraint, which will override any transformation you put on your object. What you can do to test this is try to rotate or scale your object and see if the values in the upper right Item menu (can be opened with Hotkey “N”) change in your 3D Viewport. This info can help us find a solution
A picture is worth a thousand words as they say.
Full screenshots may reveal some setting you have that is related to the problem and help people diagnose the issue.
General Q&A note Help us all to help you.
Please give FULL screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also, include the lecture time and name/number that is relevant to the problem/issue.
The screenshot can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side.
On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
Close ups additionally where they help.
I’m assuming R and S aren’t working in object mode, but they work in edit mode. Press Ctrl+comma or press F4->Preferences. Then on the left click keymap. On the right hand side of preferences at the top it should say blender. If it says anything else click it and in the dropdown list select Blender. Scroll down to where it says 3D View. If it has a restore button to the right then that means the keymap has been altered from the default plus your addons. In other words, Changes made by the addons doesn’t cause the restore button to appear. Just click the restore button, if it is there, to reset back to default+Addons. If that doesn’t fix it then in the search box at the top type rotate. Scroll down until you see object mode. Under that it will say rotate. Make sure that it is check(Turned on) and the hotkey will be on the far right of where it says rotate. It should be an R. If you go down to Mesh that is edit mode for a mesh. You can change the hotkey by clicking in the hotkey box and pressing the key you want to assign. Then to check/change the scale you need to change the search to resize. Don’t search scale. Again it will be under object mode.
Another option is to click the 3 lines on the bottom left corner of the preference window and click Load Factory Preferences. You will need to goto the addons sections and turn your addons and make any other preference settings you changed.
