Way to go Danny!!! You are inspiring!
You are too kind!
After a bad day today though, your comment has made me feel that bit better. Appreciate the kind words!
Hi, I’m Sunette and living in Cape Town, South Africa. I’m actually a risk manager by profession and game dev is a hobby I dabble in whenever time allows. Sadly, that is rather limited. I’ve been using Unity for 2 years and mainly create games for my boys. I’ve been a gamer ever since I got my first 386 back in the 90’s and building my own RPG has been on my ‘must do’ list since I played Ultima 6…waaayyyy back.
I’ve gone through numerous tutorials in the past, but most of them are simply dreadful. I really enjoyed Ben’s game dev course on Udemy and I have a lot of faith that this is the course I’ve been missing
I really like your compositions, Cédric!! I will definetely keep you in my contact list if I ever need some music for my upcoming projects
Hello there! I’m Paweł, living in Warsaw, Poland. I write about video games (e.g. co-creator of digital magazine Gamer.mag for Android and iOS) and now it’s time I start learning how to create them
Hi everyone, my name is Tom Lanigan, and I am really looking forward to starting this exciting new adventure.
I formed a computer games company called Pagoda Software way back in 1985, with my best friend, when we were both 18 years old.
Two of our three games were published, and we lasted until 1989.
I have been out of the industry ever since the “console wars” effectively closed down the market for what were termed “bedroom programmers” - that is small teams working independently on original products.
Recently, I have seen that the opportunities we had back in the 1980’s are starting to come around again full-circle:
• Inexpensive hardware for use as development systems.
• Powerful, industry-standard development utilities available to all.
• Manufacturers that are willing to allow software onto their platforms from all third-parties.
It’s genuinely heart-warming to see so many people getting together with their friends and forming software companies hoping to release their first game, starting their journey into what could become the next big global franchise.
Good luck everyone and stick with it !
Tom
Hi everyone, I’m Django. I have a background in game design and 3d art but nowadays I focus more on the development side of things. I work as a one man army developer for a University in the Netherlands where I primarily work on VR experiments. I’ve worked through most (if not all) of Ben Tristem his previous courses and are looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, I missed the last livestream. I hope to be able to participate in the next one.
Hi Django,
You can watch the recorded live stream from the GameDev.tv YouTube channel…
Hope this helps
I just beat you to it. But thanks.
Just realised, I posted the link to the channel, thinking it would be useful as you would see the other stuff there too, but I suspect the live stream was set as unlisted, so only those give the direct URL would be able to see it (and the playlist for them). Sorry for any confusion!
G’day everyone, my name’s Cam!
I’m an ex-software dev (Procreate for iPad, iPhone) with a burning passion to become a game developer. I’ve done pretty much all of Ben’s courses in an attempt to learn to program.
I’m really looking forward to this course and picking up some new tricks, particularly object pooling and I really want a robust screen shake system. If I can get those, I’ll be a happy man.
Hello everyone,
my name is Mikhail, I’m from Latvia but living in Germany. I’m Oracle DBA but I dream to realise myself in Game Development. I started Ben’s Unity course but it is not finished yet.
I have quite long Pan-n-Paper RPG experience as a player and as a GM, LARP and of course PC and Console RPG experience.
My wife Veronica is a good artist and she will be glad to contribute some art to the game, Please take a look at her portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/artist/sablezubaja

I am not an artists but really enjoy programming.
My education is in Chemistry.

Hey guys,
I’m Reinier, 38 years old and I’m from The Netherlands. I’ve always been passionate about programming and designing. My first steps in programming were at the age of 7, and never stopped since. Once I got the hang of Turbo Pascal I started writing my own little games and visual effects. From there I taught myself 3D mathematics and rendering techniques, and wrote my own software 3D engine. It was always my dream to do these things for a living. Unfortunately, I let myself get talked out of it (“It’s too hard to find work in that field!”), and I ended up in web development.
While web development was alright for the last 12 years, it’s has become less and less satisfying. The Kickstarter has re-lit that fire to become the best game developer that I can be, and I’m very excited. I’m in the Complete Unity course now, so I hope I’m up to speed once the RPG course launches.
Hi, I’m Dan DeLibro, I am 49 years old and from central Florida in the USA. I am the founder of dDW Studios. I have been an avid gamer, and programmer for most of my life, starting with the ATARI 2600 I played as a teenager. From that point on I was hooked. I started programming small games on the Commodore VIC-20, continued with the Commodore 64, and eventually the Commodore 128. I did much of this while serving active duty for 4 years as a member of the 101st Airbourne. It wasn’t until the early ’90s, when I got back from overseas, that I bought my first PC. Since then I have taken many courses, learned quite a few programming languages, and used that knowledge to mod games like Ultima Online, Battlefield 2, Arma, and Neverwinter Nights. I have also remained active online, often participating in alpha and beta testing for as many games as I can. Some of my aliases I use are ddiablo67, soldierfortune, and daddydeath. The las couple of years for me have been really busy and I have not had any time to move forward with my main project “Desperate Days…will you Survive”. I am just now settling down from a new job, a move across the sate and schooling for work. I have taken almost all of Bens other courses and I am really looking forward to this one!
I’m Pat currently doing IT and Op management for a non-profit in the Pacific Northwest in the US. Miss the days where I was paid to write code as the logic was so Zen like ( maybe someone will understand that comment). My current focus is Blender for the art track, as that is what I’m using to relax at the end of the day.
Hey everyone, I’m Barrie. Born and raised in South Yorkshire, England but now live in the Bay Area, California and spent six years in Stockholm, Sweden.
I work for a large international game publisher and developer for the last 17 years in a non-programming role but always wanting to learn.
I did BASIC V programming at school and home when I was young, copying code from the back of computer magazines and learning that way. Did C++ in University (forgotten most of it now) and some of Ben’s courses using C#.
Been a gamer since the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, Commodore Vic 20 and BBC Micro days and haven’t stopped playing since.
