2025 Collab: Week 48 “Nuts and bolts”

This is the Blender Collaboration 2025, week 48 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, have fun, learn, and get together.

This week’s subject is “Nuts and bolts”.

The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.
You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. At the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject and win a unique badge.

Deadline: 2025-11-29T22:55:00Z

Found some time this week to work on some nice robo crunch breakfast

WIP: did some blockout while testing and installing Blender 5.0

First round of UV unwrapping and texturing:

And some animation to get a good placement for a nice render (still working on the oild part :D):

Final render. I am not super happy with the oil flow and material. But still quite happy with the final result  :robot:

Instead of a spoon, maybe a tool like a wrench? It makes the story more complete.

Good idea, let’s see if I have enough time to do it.I also want to add oil to the scene as liquid for the robo crunch

We @BlenderCollab have a few days to vote. You can vote fast but also think slowly about design, colors, technique, difficulty, subject, realism, etc. Choose consciously and not on your entry.
The new subject week 49 “Helmet” has already started. The winner of this week’s “Nuts and bolts” challenge may select a subject for next week 50 and win a badge.

@gallmerci , congratulations on your nice and funny visualization of a robot breakfast. Very creative!

  • FedPete - I think the skull should be more metal and or mechanical. More attention to the placing of the nuts and bolts.
  • Srl1 - The scene looks good. But I miss the direct connection with nuts and bolts. The focus of the scene should now be more on the nut in the miner’s hand. Its golden sheen makes it difficult to distinguish as nut. Dark surroundings and a glow over the nut would help.

Note: I don’t want to offend anyone. I try to write down positive ideas and visions in my simple use of the English language. I am also sometimes more inspired by a particular subject or solution. I’m also learning from you!
