Worrying logs ("STEAM: Failed to respond IP"), wasn't a problem in next lecture

I was getting different logs, much less than Sam even with ‘Log LogOnline VeryVerbose’. The critical line that had me convinced I couldn’t continue was “LogOnlineSession: Warning: STEAM: Failed to respond IP.” Sam had the equivalent line showing successful server response, followed by a ton of interesting looking LogOnline lines.

I gave up trying to replicate this, and following the code changes in the next lecture everything worked and connected over the internet fine.

@Maysh My first guess might be a local firewall, can you post the log?

hmm, doing it now it’s giving me three 'Failed to respond IP’s
