Why will YOU persevere with this course?

Hi, I recently joined this class to further improve my knowledge of c++ in hopes of making myself a more adequate applicant than I currently am.

Hi!
Been a software developer for 30 years, mostly with C/C++ but I knew nothing about UE4. I dabbled a little with Unity but nothing serious. I have always heard you can code directly in C++ with Unreal so that fits nicely with my “control freak” nature!

I am here and will persevere threw this course because i harbor an innate passion for video games. Since i was a child my imagination has been overloaded and I have felt the winds calling me to let it out. I wish to share stories that move people, to create worlds that people never want to leave, and find fun that can bring anyone together. I started this class a long time ago and was having a hard time with programming. I have returned now to pick up where i left off, with an imperfect but better understanding of both programming and art. I will persevere because my winds refuse to blow in any other direction.

Hello Ben, I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful today!? As I look back on some of my posted messages I can now see why they were maybe, border line, inappropriate for a 12 and under audience. But the latest messages - you - took down were carefully designed posts. Whilst this site is all about learning new skills, with the aim of teaching folks, surely there should be opportunities to make friends with others who share their passion for all aspects of video game design. There is an old saying - " It’s not what you know, - it’s who you know." I would hope the community message boards are a great place to network and make new friends? None of my messages are snide, I call it how I see it! Some how you seem to have taken offence with me, I would be happy if we could hash things out and be friends too. I have great respect for you as a teacher, but I think you’ve got the wrong idea about me, I would like to put this impasse behind us. xxx
