I am hoping that, in this course, I will take the little bit of C++ knowledge that I have and be able to start doing real work with it, instead of it just being an abstract concept. I stay motivated by my desire to change careers and by the fun I have making programs that work.
I’ll persevere with this course so that I can finally bring to life the ideas that I have for video games in UE4, without the need to rely solely on pre-made Blueprints.
My reason for purchasing this course is to be a Game Developer for Ubisoft. Many of my favourite games use Unreal Engine and I have Computer Science degrees and extensive coding experience in C++ and other languages but I don’t have a portfolio and I think that is what is holding me back. I hope to create beautiful worlds and the prospect of potentially landing that dream job is my motivator for the tough times.
I can’t wait to see it happen!
Keep it up bro! Always try to be one percent better than who you were yesterday!
You got this! You are never alone!
Me too Panda! I want to be able to use and understand Unreal very well. I also want to be fluent in C++. We got this! It takes a lot of practice, perseverance and determination!
I am hoping to learn how to handle the coding aspects of game development. I’ve already got a pretty good handle on things like managing the project, developing the concept into a workable idea, dealing with balance issues, creating meaningful characters, events, encounters, and scenarios. However, I am a complete novice at coding and creating 3D assets.
I would like to learn programming concepts and work to make sure they stick to my memory. I’m also interested in learning how games are built and eventually want to work on my own creations. I hope to be able to create something that can spread happiness for people. As far as the tough times I will do my best to problem solve myself first then utilize the resources for assistance.
I hope to learn c++ and understand it well enough to make myself useful for future employers. I love a good challenge and would enjoy figuring how the problem gets solved, that’s how I’ll persevere.
Hey there! 3D artist here having a go at coding! I work daily with UE4 and use blueprints but I would like to have a firmer grasp of C++ in unreal
Hi all,
First post here
I really want to finish this course because I love gaming and in particular, the development and creativity that goes into making some of the indie and AAA titles on the market. I also have some ideas for my own simple game that I hope I can create in UE4 after completing this course.
I always wanted to be better a computer, create what i am imagining and be proud of myself.
I do really hope to be familiar with C++ and more …
As life is challenging, getting through tough times will be a better way for me for learning during those experiences.
Hello all,
I am taking this course as well as others in order to learn the skills necessary to create a well polished game.
I am going to persevere through the hard times because creating games is a dream of mine and I hope to achieve it with this course!
Hi all,
My journey as a developer started with HTML and CSS, later with objective C/Swift and more recently I started learning Python and Java for my university degree. I always wanted to learn C++ for my personal knowledge and combine two passions, coding and video game. Learning C++ will help me to extend my portfolio and provide me with the knowledge in developing my own game.
Thank you.
I am a beginner so for me One of the most important reason is that this course not only help me learn CODING but also in implementation.
I’m disabled and have to stay at home most of the time. I would like to get off of disability and have my own income again. Being able to work on my computer at home would work out great for me. It seems to me that learning C++, as well as learning how to use Unreal 4, is a good start in that direction.
Hey guys,
I bought this course about two years ago but fell off after completing the bulls/cow game. At the time I had a really good job I enjoyed and this was strictly a hobby. A lot has changed since then, but the desire to make games is as omnipresent as when I was 17 and I first dreamt of moving in this direction.
There are some ideas that I have for games that I want to play, 2D and 3D, hopefully they’ll be great, but I need to try regardless.
I think the key to persevering is realizing that everyone struggles and it is hard work and most importantly that it will take time. At least, those are the things I keep in mind when I get frustrated.
Its been really cool reading all the diverse reasons people have for getting into this course and I hope you all find success.
I want to become a sound designer and I want to us this course so I can understand sound implementation in Unreal
Videogames are my life. I’ve spent much time playing them so now I think is time to get a bit of that time to understand them and create what I love. I have skill with code and I know how to use Unity a bit so I think this is going to make me enjoy every class!
