Its weird. It worked when I started the course. But something has changed and now my proportional editing tool isn’t working. I thought maybe the sphere of influence was so large I couldn’t see it, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
I think you are right and the sphere is huge, if you cant see it. You can confirm it here, with proportional editing on and while moving verts:
It takes a lot of scrolling to get back from that size.
