Peace to everyone. My name is Anthony Garner but I would prefer to be called Bilal. I am currently living in the Atlanta area in the US and I used to be a gamer, but trying to get my Web Development business started, has engulfed my time tremendously. I really want to learn the C language to add to some other languages that I know. What other better way to learn other than making video games? I am really looking forward to learning and growing. I do ask questions quite a bit if I am unsure of a thing so please be patient with me.

Nice to meet everyone in advance

Hello!

My name is Zack and I am currently a 19 year old, sophomore college-student studying Computer Science. I am taking this course in order to expand my knowledge in programming and learn how to build games with unity engine so I could post my own arcade games to the ios app store.

Matt from Texas. I’ve been programming and scripting, off and on, for 20+ years. At work I specialize in IT automation. A friend and I are interested in doing some indie game development with a focus on better social and crafting features than we see in a lot of games. Programming is something I’ve enjoyed since before I was a teenager, but I never wanted to work on big titles for corporations.

I’m not a great gamer because I like to dabble in a lot of different genres, but it’s all about having fun and making new friends. My goal is to get exposure to the big game engines so that I can make a better decision about the right platform to invest time in. I’m really excited about the direction that VR/AR and gaming will take us.

Now is a really great time to get into game development.

Hello All, My name is Justin and I am in a winter season.

When I say I am in winter I own that as my badge of motivation. A way of saying life is in a rut and I am pulling out soon to a beautiful spring.

Recently I left a tie wearing job fixing computers at a big box store that felt they have the Best Buy’s in Plano Texas. When I started that job 3 years ago it was the gateway to better. Turned out it was mind numbing and something at times that fought my personal ethical compass.

Now I have regained myself and I am looking for my next personal advancement. Plus my kids and I have created concepts of games and they want to learn to code. So I will teach myself so I can share with them.

Anyway, thanks to the instructors for this course and Udemy for hosting. If anyone is in the north Dallas area and want to coffee shop study group, I am down for that.

I hope all have a great day

Hi, I’m JD from USA,
I am new to programming, and excited to learn as much as I can before College!

Hey there, my name is Wayne. I’ve always had a passion for video games, but never fully embraced the creation of them. I dabbled with programs such as RPG Maker about a decade ago, but never followed through. I scripted a bit with mIRC, HTML, VisualBasic, etc., but always at a basic level.

I recently graduated with a degree in Bluegrass, Old-time, Country, and Celtic Music Studies, with a concentration on vocals and guitar. I attempted graduate school in Appalachian Studies, but discovered I’m really just not that into it. I’m trying to find a career I can be passionate about, and this course seems like a great place to start to discover if video game design could be what I’m looking for.

I have just returned from a 3-month jaunt across Europe, through an organization called WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms), where I spent a lot of time in France and Italy, but also traveled through Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Holland, and Belgium. Now that I’m home, with no real career or job (outside of a bartender) to fall back on, I figured it was time to buckle down and try to sort out my future.

Looking forward to this course and learning some fundamentals about Unity and C#!

Hello everyone!

My name is Alifyz, I’m from Brazil. I enrolled a few months back. I work for a Public Bank here in Brazil but I want to change my career path and get into Game Development industry. I’m about to get in a college and studying computer science.

Hey I’m Andrew, from Edmonton in Canada.

I’m 16, I’ve mainly known Java, but when I got into graphical/game development I realized that Java isn’t ideal for complex graphics. Unity is a great game engine with a neat community, and C# is a language I’ve been desperate to start learning, so this turned out to be the perfect course.

I’m a PC gamer, but my roots are in the N64.

I also have a dog so that’s always nice.

Hi I’m Jan Carl Andre Alcantara. You can call me Jaysie. I’m a student of STI UNIVERSITY here in Bacolod City Philippines. I’m taking Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I’ts been my dream to be a game developer. Since early age, I’ve always been playing games. I’m also a drummer at our local church. Music and programming is one thing that I love doing daily. Training here, lessons there. I’m amazed that games during this time are getting better and more realistic. So I wondered how do they do it. That’s why I want to learn and hope to learn more here.

Cheers.

Hello Tutor(s) and Students. My name is Karim and I’m from Brussels, Belgium. I’m currently studying Computer Science (just finished my first year) and I’ve been using C++ for most of my school projects. This means that i’m new to C# and Unity.

My future plans would be to make games (obviously) and also apps for mobile devices. I took this course because a friend of mine recommended it and also because it looks really complete.

I’m really excited to begin this course !

Hello! My name is David. I’m making a journey into the game and app development world. Just passing by to say hi and to say thanks for the support in advance.

Welcome fellow alumni.

Hey,
My name is Rob and I’ve been using Unreal Engine for about 15 years or so and figured it was time to try Unity. Currently working as an artist in the games industry. Haven’t ever completed any coding before though so this should be fun
Not much C# or javascript experience. I’ve had a go at most other languages but always seem to find better ways to spend my time once the going gets tough, so really need to try and stick with it this time
I’ve used a range of game engines DromEd (the original Thief game), Source, Radiant, Unreal, and various in-house engines. I’m currently workign through this course and one for UE4 so lots going on.
Hopefully get a better understanding of the inner workings of games and be in a position where i can create simple 1 man projects.
Currently residing in the ‘where are they now’ file… or Derby, UK.
