Welcome to the Unity Section 1 sub-forum

Hi all,

I graduated last spring with a Software Engineering degree. I made a few simple games in the early years of college, but moved over heavily into Android development. I ended up sort of randomly getting a job with a company that makes social Casino games, and my team specifically uses Unity to make an Android and iOS game. It is a lot of UI stuff mostly, but I want to round my skills out for potential future jobs. In the mean time, hopefully this course can get me to the point where I can make a well made game or two on my own, and get me better at my job.

Hi!

My name is Fabian and I live in Germany.
I always wanted to make my own games and thought about using Unity3D because itā€™s free but because I
couldnā€™t really find good free tutorials so I hope that the ā€œComplete Unity Developerā€ course will help me to get
started with it!

Hello All, my name is Freddy and Iā€™m from Old Bridge, NJā€¦(USA)
I am a IT Manager at a great company for the last 11 years. Iā€™ve always loved computers. Iā€™ve recently been asked to do some side work and create some websites for two different companiesā€¦ I dove in and decided to learn how to code HTML5, CSS3, JS, etcā€¦ I took a course on Udemy and Iā€™m more than 60% done. I already completed both websites and the customers were very pleased. I realized I really liked coding. I like the instant gratification of coding and then seeing it come to life. I have some ways to go with my HTML Boot-camp course but I saw this course and thought this would be a great follow up to the HTML course. I love gaming and have two boys I hope to get interested in coding when they see me making cool games.
This is all a hobby/side job so I am taking it slowlyā€¦ I started the HTML Course about a month agoā€¦ and I watch / code a few hours a night before bed. Anywayā€¦ I hope to get to learning this course shortly and I hope I donā€™t annoy anyone with too many questions. LOL!

Thanks and see you around the forums.

Iā€™m much the same. No programming knowledge until I started this course and no matter what problems you get into, make sure to contact the group here or the Facebook group for feedback to help you with any issues.

Donā€™t be afraid if you get stuck, everyone here has gotten stuck on something, somewhere.

Hello, my name is Dā€™Arcy. Iā€™ve been working as a professional 3D Artist/Animator in the Games and Animation Industries for more than 20 years. Iā€™m presently in Mozambique with my wife, trying to set up a basic 3D Animation course for local kids. In the meantime, I figured I might try my hands at the coding side of things and maybe bump into some like-minded people who want to make their own games! I look forward to sharing our triumphs and frustrations elsewhere in the forums!
