Welcome Everyone!

Welcome DDG, I am going to head in the other direction with Unreal rather than Unity, overall, it suits my long term aims better. Best of luck with your course.

Hello, I’m Håkon from Norway. I’m in my 3rd year of studying games programming at university. I’m hoping to learn 3D modelling so that I can create my own assets for both professional games and hobby projects. Pleased to meet you guys

Hello Nick, nice to meet you! Wanna bet who will earn first million? :smirk:

Hi all, this is Carlo, I work as a postdoc at Princeton University. I use Blender and Unity to program psychophysics experiments, and I joined this course to expand my skills and dream even bigger. Ciao!

I’ll be happy earning a thousand for a start

I’m going to tentatively say that you may be the first to a million, but I look forward to some friendly competition in the meantime

Hi, my name is Mike. I am new to 3D modeling. Its a hobby for me. I want to re-design my bathroom. Plus I want to create a new landscaping scenario about my home.

Hey Nickbrad,

I am taking the courses concurrently, as I am very interested in learning
the two side by side and seeing how the two fit in together.
I am especially interested in the possibility of using the two together to
run VR and AR simulations, as well as create desktop and mobile games. Long
way off, I know, but I have to start somewhere right?
I hope you love the course as much as I have been loving it so far

I’m really enjoying it so far, even though I’ve only done the basic lessons on learning the program. Today will be when I begin the modelling.

I cannot decide whether to tackle one course at a time or do as you are and run them both together, it would be fun to use my own assets as part of the Unreal course, rather than use the generic assets that everyone else will have.

Exactly why I want to learn to use Blender as well
You can also find some free assets online, many times under a CC0 license, so it might be able to help you develop your environments a bit faster as well.

Hello from Montana US. My name is Raeanna (Ray Anna) I bought this course to learn blender because I want to use it to create 3d mesh items for a virtual world I enjoy. I am just starting today 5 minutes ago, challenge #1  Have a nice week everyone!

Welcome Raeanna, the early lessons may feel very basic and that you are moving slow, but stick with it as it’s laying very solid groundwork for moving forward.

Thank you. I am a beginner at blender. I am content with slow moving courses  I hope I can keep up later!

Hello Blender Community!

My name is David and I’m looking to learn blender to make models for 3D printing prototypes for silicon mold production. I am also interested in making artwork and animations from a personal enjoyment perspective.

Hi, my name’s Iza, this year (29th of March to be exact) I’ll be turning 18. I’m learning at a very special high school in Warsaw, Poland - Liceum Kreacji Gier Wideo, which can be translated as HighSchool of Creation of Video Games, something like that.
My goal is to make games, maybe someday have my own studio and, if that’s possible, make the World a little bit better place

Welcome Iza, I wish we had something like that here in the UK, I’d love to study somewhere like that.

Yeah, it’s quite uniqe, it’s the only school like that in the coutry so I’m super happy to have the opportunity to study here!
Have a wonderful day Nick!

Hi Michael and all. My name is Rafael and I a really looking forward to learning how to work with Blender. I originally come with a background using 3DSMax and some Maya with a sprinkle of Cinema 4D. My goal in learning Blender is to get off the grid with the power of open source software so that one day I can move back into using Linux and leave Windows and Mac behind. I strongly believe in open source and feel that this is the best way for me to make the first move towards that direction. Again, I look forward working with all of you and sharing new ideas.

Hello everyone. Glad to see so many 3d enthusiasts here. I used to work in Maya years ago but it is just too costly of a program so I was extremely happy to run across blender so I can get back into modeling and animation. I really did enjoy doing it. So fun. Looking forward to learning this new program and seeing how I, and others progress in blender. Good luck to all and keep at it. 3d programs can be quite difficult and intimidating, but like anything else. Practice makes perfect.

Hello James here.
My goal to be able to make 3D assets I can use in the AR game that I’m developing.

Hello everyone, my name is Matthew. I love 3D modeling and I’ve used Blender and Zbrush throughout my college courses. My goal is to make amazing 3D models that I can print on a 3D printer.
