3D models as in for printing? That’s my first aim.
Hello! My name is José, and I’m looking forward to be able to create all kinds off assets to my games and, maybe one day publish them and make a living out of it!!! 3D modelling has always been one of the most interesting parts of the development in my opinion and now I have the opportunity to dive into it!
Have all a great 2018!!!
Bye bye! I’ll see you all soon!!

I’m really out of my element here and most likely my first post here is in the wrong place. I’m here to learn about CG animation, building and animating specifically for the Star Trek fan films I produce. My field of expertise is filmmaking but have been bitten by the intrigue of leaning the mechanics of learning this illusion and detail oriented craft. Please bear with me as I fail horribly in my quest to learn and I’ll apologize now for the embarrassing comments or newbie statements or assumptions I’ll make.
Thank you all in advance with your patience with me.
Hello, I am Daniele and I would love to learn how to 3D model!
Woah, that’s awesome! How long have you been working at that company?
Hey everyone!
My name’s John; I’m originally from NYC, but moved to the mid-south not too long ago . I have grown up on games like Mega Man, Mario, Crash B., Pokemon, and most importantly (to me), Sonic the Hedgehog. Since I was a child, Sonic has been my favorite game, show (except Sonic Underground), and game mascot, and he’s been my inspiration for wanting to develop games. I have been drawing comics since I was a child, and I’ve been practicing game development since high school (through Game Maker 7 and above). I’ve graduated college in Applications Software Development (basically Computer Science) to help pursue this goal. Fast forward to now, I now want to pursue Game Development as a career, and as a born again Christian, I want to make games that spread the Gospel of Christ! So I’m really glad to be a part of this course and other courses to help build consistency, focus, and discipline to make this goal a reality! I also want to use the knowledge and wisdom I gain to help others, especially by teaching computer science/game design & development, motivating others to pursue the dreams that God placed in them, mentoring, and sharing the Gospel of Christ and helping bring heaven on Earth (don’t worry, I won’t be annoying, but I will be myself )
Some of my interests/hobbies include playing and studying video games (of course), drawing, cooking (I LOVE to cook), playing sports (Basketball, Football, Volleyball), studying the Bible, going to/serving at church, and watching motivational videos to encourage me throughout the day. I love to laugh and make others laugh, I like to eat, I love to learn, and by God’s Grace, I’m gonna work hard and achieve these goals of mine!
I pray success for each one of us as we go about this course! God-Bless, and I hope you guys make your goals a reality as well! I’m not against collaborating with anyone; let’s work together whenever and however we can!
I’m also taking 5 other classes, so I may not be too available as I’m working on scheduling them all in with my other responsibilities. But feel free to reach out to me to say hi or collab; I’m always willing to converse
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me - Philippians 4:13
Stay Blessed, y’all!
Hello Everyone!
I’d say I’m your average French Canadian video game nerd that grew up with games of the 90’s, and wants to learn how to make the visual side of 3D games. I’ve been drawing on and off for about 10 years now, nothing fancy or amazing, mostly characters really. I want to broaden my view and knowledge of the artistic side of 3D modelling and animation so that I can make my own games or movies, and get a head start on knowing what I’m doing before taking a college course for it. I have this dream of studying and eventually working in the video game industry since I was a teenager. I have unfortunately not really touched upon it other than Youtube videos that for the most part confused me more than helped me, as such I am trying the Udemy course that seems much more professional than those.
As far as my interest go, I love a wide range of video games - from simple things like Animal Crossing, to more action games such as Diablo or Warframe - and creating things; I love to draw even if I do not consider myself very good at it, and have tried story-writing, which I feel I am better at. I love to have a good laugh with my friends, and spend a lot of my time on the computer; unfortunately I have ADD so it’s not always easy for me to stay focused on one thing for very long. I really hope it doesn’t hamper my progress on this course. I will also be doing an adult’s course to finish my GED starting on the 9th, I might have less time during the day to work on this then.
tl;dr I’m a nerd that wants to create things in 3D
All in all, I hope to be able to share my progress and small projects with you guys, and who knows, maybe gain a few friends and partners in this community.
See you next post!

Hello Folks. My name is Bharghava. I have been a gamer all my life, and wanted to try my hand at game development. Not a career choice as of now, but a hobby. I am also taking the Unreal course here. Cheers.
JC here stumbled upon blender and I’ve read great things about it. I have always wanted to learn 3D animation but loved how this course seems to cover more than just that?
Pipe Dream would be to have my own “Pixar” type company someday.
Hi hi I am Isaac! I am in California and I’m looking forward to learning about Blender - woot!
Hello, I am Terry! I am from Michigan and excited to learn about Blender!
Hello! My name’s Joni. I’m a visual artist working mostly in textiles and sculpture, I’m hoping to learn 3d modeling so I can create models of future sculptures and projects to apply for exhibitions and grants as well as try out new ideas without wasting material.
Hi, I am helping my daughter learn about Blender. She wants to be an animator. I, myself, am a writer. I might learn enough to make models of my novel scenes. We will see how it goes:-)
Hi, my name is Tim. I’m 31 from the UK and have always liked the idea of 3D modelling, mainly because I am creative and like Pixar. I don’t have an ultimate goal at the moment. Who knows where this course will take me. God bless you and all the people who have taken or helped create the course!
Hello! I’m Grace, I’m a student trying to get a leg up and really get the hang of some 3d assets before I can go and take some classes on it. I’d love to be able to see exactly how far I can push myself to get some nice looking pieces!
Hello everyone, my name is Nick, I’m from the UK and I am tired of asking others if they would be willing to create custom game assets for me, so I am taking this course so I can learn to do it myself. I have also signed up to complete the Unreal engine course as a means of learning how to create complete games.
Hi there, it seems you have the same aspirations as myself and we’ll be taking the same courses, (this and the Unreal engine one,) do you plan to work on them both concurrently or complete this one and then move on to the next one?
Hello everyone!
My name is Dima, and I’m a 28 polar bear from Russia, Saint-Petersburg.
I like both technology and art, but as a qualified process engineer I work only with first thing.
A month ago I decided to change my life and become a game designer!
So I started to study Unity, game design theory and, as you can see, Blender.
I hope to find new friends to share ideas and to improve my english, which is not ideal.
Good luck everyone!
