Hi. I’m Joel. Thinking about working on game assets and animation. Nice to meet all of you.
Hi I’m Brian and I’m looking to do more advanced modeling for 3D printing and VR.
Hi, I’m Raf from Belgium. I’ve become interested in 3D modeling, mainly for use in 3D printing. But I’m not excluding VR or Game asset creation. I’m currently following a ceramics class, and want to explore combining 3D prints with clay, even if it’s just for creating tools.
Just enrolled in the Blender course @Udemy and Looking forward to really getting familiar with Blender.
I’m a cartoonist and looking forward to seeing if I can bring my 'toons into 3D.
Hi Everyone. My Names Dale. I started this course back when it was first released. I got as far as about Lesson 89 but with the changes to Udemy, this course and real world interruptions. I couldn’t really give this course my full attention it and I deserved.
My goals has always been to learn how to create Models & Scenes Efficiently for Games on both PC, Mobile and VR. Having enjoyed creating maps for games in the past, as time has progresses I’ve realized I really needed to learn 3D Modelling.
I am feeling very confident now with much of Blenders interfaces but lack some of sutle skills needed to really make a Model or Scene ‘POP’!
A small project I am currently working on is to create a ‘Roller Coaster’ Scene using my employers ‘Store Presence’ as the ‘Scene’. The idea is to have customers able to user the Occulus (we have a DK2) in the store. What away to promote the store but to have customers able to zoom around virtually hanging from a Roller Coaster!
I have two very specific but different mobile games I want to create. 1) One will have to be made in a 3D engine like Unity or Unreal. 2) The other will be 2D based and created in Construct 2. I plan to create the assets, in 3D and render scenes, models to allow for 2D animations. 3) or I could just simply take the 3D objects and make it in a 3D engine?
Due to how this new Q&A segment works I will simply post future ‘Challenges’ into this thread I have created.
Looking Forward to finishing this finally
Then I can move onto the Unity, Unreal & VR programming tutorials
Cheers
Dale
Hi I’m Chris. Teacher at secondary school. I run a coding club and want to introduce 3D modelling to the kids. I better learn myself first. Also I keep forgetting the Blender interface. I need to embed it in my memory.

Hi there everyone, my names Daniel (or Bear) and I’ve undertaken this course to develop models for 3D printing. I hope to start a small business one day to sell my creations.
Hello, my name is Nathan. I am taking this course to warm myself up and get a head start before I take courses at animschool. I know they use Maya instead of Blender, but I’m hoping that many of the basic skills I learn here on Blender will be transferable to Maya.
Hi Michael, hi everyone else, I’m a beginner to 3D modeling hope to learn lots from this course, my end goal is to contribute to my SIM gaming community by creating assets and maps and putting them into game. I addicted to truck simulation games so that’s where I want to use my knowledge first up.
Hi all! I’ve been programming for a couple of years now, specialised in web development but my real dream is to develop games. I have many ideas, but no artistic skills, so that’s why I’m on this course!
I’d love to make high quality platformers and side scrolling action games - they seem to be lacking in the industry right now.
@Roy @Steve.888 @beagleboy4ever @Bear87 @clok @Dale_Hegglun @cartoonMike @Captain_Foambeard @jaxzin @Joel_Frey hey, welcome to the course and the forum - enjoy!
Hi everyone. I’m a professor of computer science who has traditionally emphasized on computing systems. I’m now turning my attention to computer graphics and gaming for educational purposes.
Hello guys! My name’s Carlos. Blender is a very old interest of mine and I hope I finally will learn something about it. I’m currently a member of the Unreal developers course too, regards
Hello all!
My name is Jake and I went to school in Duluth, Minnesota where I got my Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science. I am currently working as a Software Consultant in Minneapolis but my dream is to someday break into Video Game Development.
I am here to learn 3D modeling alongside my work learning Unreal Engine 4 so that I can bring my game ideas to life. I had started (barely) work at making a game with a small group of people (jokingly called ourselves Team ZombieBot), but unfortunately we all went our separate ways after high school. I plan on working in the development side of things along with story development, but not knowing any artists has me in a position where I will need to learn the basic skills necessary for placeholder art!
Feel free to say hello, I am always looking to meet new people!
I’m ishy. I would like to make items for virtual worlds like Second Life, opensim, and Sansar. Mostly just doing this for fun and to create personal items opensim is missing.
Welcome to the community
Hey, my name is Alex and I’ve just enrolled in this course as well as in the Unity Physics Engine course. Also I have been concurrently doing the Unity course by Ben and completed roughly 50% of that course.
My hopes are that I’ll be able to program small, but enjoyable VR games/experiences with novel ideas as a hobbyist. And now let’s all get started with Blender!
Hey everyone!
My name is Emil. I’m a professional software developer that has always had an interest in games and graphics. I have begun learning Unreal but feel that my lack of content creation skills is keeping me back. Looking forward to learning alot about blender!
Hello everyone, my name is Wendell Washington. I have always been into art and games. I am looking forward in creating realist 3D models and art work to broaden my imagination.
Hello! I am new to Blender, and I am excited about getting started with this course. I am a graphic artist, web designer, and a Book and eBook Cover Designer. I am interested in making my own custom 3D graphics, backgrounds, scenes, and hopefully 3D human models. At least this is my current interest so far. I look forward to learning and sharing, and seeing what others do and what I can do!
