My name is Christian and I want to become a professional 3D modeler, especially creating breathtaking environments. I took some classes in my community college and I know some basic skills using 3DS Max. I want to learn to use Blender since it’s free and I hear good things about it.
That sounds awesome.
From Los Angeles, welcome to the neighborhood!
My name is Keshav and I’m new to the Blender community. Can’t wait to see what I can do with this program. My goals include making the best quality music vids througg CGI
Gordon from Newport.
Hello guys! I’m an architecture student and I would love to learn blender.
My goal is to use blender for my projects and all your feedbacks and suggestions are super welcome!
I’d like also to join the fb group but have no idea what’s the name of it… let me know if anyone of you is in already!
Welcome!
found fb group!
I am taking this course mainly to get me started with Blender. I used to use 3DS Max and Lightwave just as hobbies years ago. Now I’d like to get started again as I miss modeling but I’d like to avoid being a pirate this time (yar).
Ultimate goal is to be able to model assets for game mods.
(I will say this is definitely different with the new system compared to what I modeled on before… the last time I used Max I was on a Core2Duo with a measly 3gigs RAM… my new system I just got done setting up is an 7700k, with 32gig RAM, 1070 video card powering a 40" 4K monitor… I feel powerful and intimidated at the same time)
Hi everyone, I’m Gonzo
I’m a 30 year old electronics production worker from the Netherlands.
I’ve dabbled with 3d modelling before for small work and hobby projects but never got really into it. Now I’m looking for something new to do maybe beside my work or combine 3D modelling with developing devices to 3D print and add electronics to.
I look forward to learning Blender and 3D modelling techniques!
Hello all, my name is Duc. I’m an architect who have been using 3dsMax and Corona Renderer for quite long time. However, I’m totally new to blender. I want to take this course because i have found my interest with 3d modelling and animation recently. I also wish i can create 3d architectural scenes as well as animations as i always longed to do. Thanks a lot
I’m a motion graphics artist currently trying to make my way into creative adversiting. I look forward to learning blender!
Hi everybody, my name is Tonni. I’m a full stack web developer and designer. I already do some sculpting with zBrush and decided to go ahead with another 3D software too. I intend to use the knowledge acquired in this course to make games.
Hi TonniDev,
Awesome to see another developer here, Full stack Rails working into Python developer myself. Good luck with your Blender journey!
Hey shiny-lane,
really nice to meet another developer on a 3D course. I’m a NodeJS and PHP developer but I plan on learning Ruby or Python until the end of this year. Since you know both, which one would you recommend me to learn first?
Being that I’ve been writing Ruby for some time I’d probably recommend this to start with, it’s really great as a back-end solution. Rails is great at enabling test driven development as well as getting an application up and running quickly.
I’ve so far found Python to be great at manipulating data in various data structures very quickly. I do however think Django can be a nice simple experience and it can run pretty quickly depending on your DB usage.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions along your learning journey there.
Hello Tonni,
I’m not quite sure if I am to speak portuguese or english, but let us be democratic. It is always quite pleasing to see someone from Brazil! I’m from Belo Horizonte and I ended up here by a link in a gamedev/c++ course. Seeing your linkedin was quite inspiring. I’m in the middle of a graduation in Civil Engineering and always wanted to learn about webdev, programming, but never had the chance. A few days ago my friend introduced me to Udemy and here I am. I’m learning HTML, C++ and will soon move into Java. Do you have any tips for me?
It would be pleasing to talk with you!
Thank you for your insight. I’m anxious to start learning both. I’ll definitely wan’t all the help I can get once I begin studying.
Hi Pedro,
nice to meet you. It’s really good to know I can inspire someone.
I don’t know the market tendency on Belo Horizonte, but if you want to dive into webdev I would recommend 2 things:
- First try to find what you like most. I mean between front-end and back-end. I’m a designer, so I started with front-end and loved it. Then I started learning back-end programming, but only when I thought I was good enough in the front-end. You’re coming from a completely different professional area, so you can choose which one to start with.
- Second I would tell you to search within the market which programming language is most wanted. For example we don’t have many job openings for Java in Rio. Most companies look for Ruby, Python, .NET and NodeJS. Even PHP has dropped a little. So choose wisely so you can guarantee that you will be able to grab a job opportunity to put in practice what you’re learning.
Don’t worry too much at the beginning. You need to first get a job on the area. After that you’ll see it’s much easier to change between programming languages, as long as you keep learning different things showing the market that you have what they’re looking for.
Connect with me on linkedin if would like to.
If you need anything feel free to contact me.
