Welcome Everyone!

Hello everyone,

I’m Björn and I am a programmer who have been working now and then with Blender for a couple of years.
My ultimate goal is to work as a professional 3D artist since I have a creative side that I would like to embrase.

Cheers
Björn

Introducing myself… I think I did it in the wrong place before. :0) I am new to the course and hoping to get more comfortable with the interface and with modeling in general. I have a specific interest in both modeling and in creating materials. I see Blender as a great resource for many of the things I do creatively.

Hi Doug,

I did the same thing :joy:

Have you progressed much through the course? I’m at day 1 here.

Thank you,

Bradley Deeter

Hi All,

My name is Bradley Deeter and I am a mechanical engineering student. I have been working full time as a design engineer using Creo and I do 3D printing as a hobby using my Lulzbot Mini. I am taking this course to further develop my ability to model things, particularly organic and “artsy” designs.

Hi, I’m a novice game designer looking to improve my skill set. While my main focus is on story, mechanics, and project oversight, I’m hoping to boost my skill set starting with 3D modeling.

Hi @Eragon615 and welcome. I’m an electrical engineer currently working, but with an ambitious dream: to enter into the 3D animation world. I have notions of 3D modeling with Blender and already done some small projects. I think it is a great opportunity for me to join this course!

Nice to meet you. Here’s to both of our success!

Hello all,

I’m Jhovan and I’m from the island of Montserrat,

I’m currently a high school teacher but have been using Blender for a few years. I wish
to become a professional and be able to model anything.

Cheers!
Jhovan

So, Hi there  Nice to meet you all.

My name is Matt. I’m originally from the UK but am currently living abroad due to a multitude of reasons.

I have very little experience when it comes to 3D modelling but have always liked the idea of creating assets, animations, (spells?) etc for personal projects

So thanks for having me and am looking forward to what’s to come

Hi Everyone,

My name is Aaron. I am from Canada.

I have decided to learn Blender as I have recently gotten access to a closed beta test to design 3d objects inside a game and am excited to do so. But I need to learn a program like blender in order to do so.

So I am really excited about learning the basics and progressing to the advanced objects and learning some animation of said objects either using the blender tool or possible using javascript with another lecture series.

and if I design my own game in the process that would be awesome too.

so I am hoping to learn a lot here and maybe offer insight and ideas to other course members.

thanks in advance for your insights…

Aaron

I am looking to learn Blender to make assets or City Skylines.

I wish to recreate Lego in Blender as accurate as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi!

I’m Stefan, 21 years old and come from Germany.
For several reasons want to start with Blender:

  1. It sounds fun to me to create 3D Objects and animate some Videos for family, friends and as a hobby

  2. I think about to start a small buisness after my studies and the ability to create short product videos/ads can become handy.

  3. Learning skills of 3D modelling can lead to 3D printable Objects and prototypes of products

I’m not sure how far i can come but I try to push me to the limit.

PS: The challenge idear to introduce yourself to the community is totally awesome

Stefan, welcome.
It’s a fun course, it’s a good course.
You will certainly learn the basic stuff here, from modelling, to rendering, to animation.

Enjoy.

My name is Michael. I am from Malta. My goal is to learn Blender so that I can use it to create educational stuff for students to learn Chemistry.

Welcome, Michael! I hope you enjoy the course. It really is a good one; I know I have learned a lot.

Hi Michael,
I’m a chemistry student from germany. Nice to see somebody who is looking beyond the borders and wants to make educational chemistry great again  im very interested in your creations  maybe you can share it somehow. I am new to the community and don’t know if it works. maybe i can subscribe to you somehow?
