Greetings from Oregon! I’m Jeff and looking forward to floating through this course! Currently a Web developer by day, but working independently as a Unity developer by night. Hoping to move into more of a Technical Artist role as I build some skill in modeling, texturing, lighting, etc.
Greetings!
My name is Aaron and I am studying the Python programming language. I’m interested in learning as much as possible about 3D Software packages so I can learn to write scripts for production.
Hi everybody! Greetings from Brazil!
I’m a 45 years old cartoonist with lot more dreams to realize than ever! The next one is to do whatever I want in the 3D world, and with Blender.

Hello everyone!
My name is Sean Donahue, I am an Automation Programmer and developer working mostly with Crestron Automation Equipment. My goal is to expand my knowledge of 3D software and hopefully incorporate some nice artwork and animations into my touch panel design and functionality
Hi folks!
I’m Jaguar (a.k.a. Jake). In my day job, I’m a QA Engineer for a large IT company. I’m taking this course because I’d like to make graphics for a couple of my hobbies: video games and board games.
Who knows… maybe I’ll be able to make a good avatar.
Hello, I am an electrical engineer looking to create 3D object for my new 3D printer (new toy just for fun). I am lso looking to possibly create some basic animation for a video production crew that I am a volunteer for (non-profit). I am hoping to expand my “creative” side and exersize that other side of my brain - oh ya - and have some fun!
Hello everyone, my name is Daniel. Been interested in 3D for a long time, came across a perfect opportunity. I am excited to see where this is going to lead me down the road.
hi there!
my name’s andrew, and i’m getting into 3D because it’s so different from what i’m used to. i also want to get into making games, and experiment with VR. i’m drawn to low poly characters, objects, and environments. i like the idea of working within limitations, and don’t really have realism as my goal, though i’d like to know how to portray more realistic scenes if i feel like it.
something that i think would be satisfying, is modeling my surroundings. like the bus stop near my house, or my bedroom. the idea of having freedom to have my eyes roam freely through a virtual version of these places sounds fascinating to me. or to see the scene as something that could fit on my table.
a small idea i’ve had floating in my head for a while is a small VR garden space that has things growing in it in real time. it would start as a blank area, and you could put different pots in it, or put seeds or spores in the ground, walls, or ceiling. you might find that the little white and blue flower you planted has grown taller and taller over a few days, or the spores you put on the wall have grown a cluster of mushrooms. i like relaxing things like that.
i’ve always wanted to get into blender, but was always too intimidated until recently. it’s so much fun to have the power to model things in 3D! i want to have more of that power, to create interesting things! i’m looking forward to learning & talking with people here!
HI Everyone,
My name is Louis from South Africa, and I’m actually doing the Unreal Engine 4 course including Blender. Mostly hoping this course will allow me to better communicate with he asset creator for our projects we make for Unreal. However, I’d also love to just create things. I’m mostly a programmer and hope I can make something worth while in the future, will see how things go.
Hi! My name is Caio, I’m from Brazil and I’m interested in learn animation.
hello
my name Joseph from Toronto Canada and my goal is to learn 3D modeling VR design for home construction and possibly video games
Hello all. I’m Ben. I’m a working software engineer building cloud based digital signage systems and learning Blender because I’m never done adding to my tool kit. I’m concurrently taking courses on Unity to eventually advance into professional game development work. My whiteboard reads, “learn Unity, Blender, GIMP, and Reason.” At this point in my life, I don’t waste as much time questioning my goals as I spend following suggestions from previous iterations of myself.
Hello Everyone! My name is Paul and the reason I am taking this course is because I am taking a gap year in between high school and college (art school) and I am wanting to learn blender for 3d printing tangible objects.
Hi there. My name is Daniel from Amsterdam, trying to learn Blender to model assets for Unreal Engine. I am working on virtual reality projects compiled for Samsung Gear VR at the moment…
Hello all! My name is Rashad and I’m from Toronto, Canada. I’m a game programmer and I just started to do some modelling in blender to be able to create my own game assets for all of my projects. I decided to give this course a go to refine my blender skills and simply expand my knowledge base. I love learning new skills as long as they’re related to game development. I guess you could say that my end goal and ambition in life is to one day be the creative director of a game development studio!
Hi I’m Steve. I studied filmcraft and animation in college, then Computer Animation in University.
I’m a long time 3ds Max user, I also use Substance Designer/Painter, Maya, ZBrush, Vue and I’ve dabbled in a lot of other software packages over the years, but never Blender. But this course was on sale and I’ve really enjoyed The Complete Unity Developer with C# course, so I thought I would just use this to get to grips with Blender.
I’d love to work in either video games (as a 3D modeller/generalist), mobile games as a developer and artist or feature animation as a 3D modeller.
One of the main reasons I decided to learn Blender was that it is free, this would allow me to work freelance, without having to pay for 3ds Max for commercial use (several thousand pounds).
My portfolio is at www.stephenwoods3d.com if anyone is interested in my work.
thanks
Steve
Hi everyone!
My name is Lucas. I love to develop applications since I was 10, starting with Clipper version 5, C/C++, Java, PHP3 and, recently, Python.
I’ve learnt some topics of Blender in a class at the Electrical Engineering (graduation). As a final job in this class I rendered a bee.
Nowadays, when I was learning Python, I knew I could use Python to automate Blender.
Since then, I was starving to start this course. Thank you very much!
Howdy Doodly,
My name is Tyrone and I’m a Software Dev from South Africa.
Looking to broaden my skillset by learning a bit about modelling. Always been interested in the Artistic side of things as I’m usually bogged down by all that is technical.
Would love to get into improving my hobby games and maybe get into doing it as a career.
Hello everyone, my name is Alex and i take this course because i want to know how to create my own game assets. I hope that in the future i will be able to make some sick games.
Hey everyone, my name is Eric and a lot of you have already seen me around Game Dev for awhile now. I’ve been a student in the Unity course, really looking forward to the upcoming RPG course, and now I am restarting the Blender course. My main use out of the blender course is to learn how to make game assets. I like doing everything from scratch, so when I am coding a game I would also like to use my own assets and not rely on a 3rd party
