W and down arrow not cancelling each other out

Hi,
when trying this lecture and then trying to press W and S simultaneously, they cancel each other fine. The same goes to up arrow and down arrow. But when pressing W and down arrow simultaneously, the character proceeds to move in the direction of the key which was pressed first. Is there a way for 2 separate input bindings to still cancel each other out?
Thanks
Laco

You would probably have to do this manually. I can’t think of any reason someone would do this - although I won’t put it past some players - but you can’t try to code for every possible freakish thing a player would try. These are totally separate bindings and if you are going to manually check for these, you’d have to also include a check for a player pushing up on the controller and down on the keyboard, etc.

Thank you bixarrio

Sorry that I couldn’t give you an actual solution. To be honest, I wouldn’t even know where to start to do this
