So I went through the first Unity 3D project without a problem. Going into the Rocket Booster project, Unity 6 editor (latest version down to the one Rick is using in the project…) crashes a LOT. It seems to only crash when I have Visual Studio 2022 professional open. I haven’t tried with VS Code. I’m a C# developer for work so I own a copy of the full version. Has anyone experience this and have a fix? Thanks!
I’ll add that I’m running Windows 10 with an AMD 5950X processor and a 3090 graphics card.
Visual Studio should not affect Unity, so it is very unlikely that VS makes Unity crash. While running Unity and VS, check the CPU, GPU and RAM usage of your computer. The task manager could also show you what else is running in the background. VPN, antivirus and firewalls are known for causing issues.
If you are a professional C# developer, maybe you occasionally install programs to test, which slows the computer down significantly. Maybe you’ll have to reinstall your operating system.
