Unity zooming is sped up

whenever I try moving my editing camera for example to zoom, even with just one scroll click of my mouse wheel it goes from too far away to intersecting with the model. any way I can fix this?

Hi,

Are you referring to the view in the scene window? If so and if you use a newer version of Unity, click on the camera icon in the top horizontal menu bar of the scene window. There are a few values which you could tweak.
