I am just wondering if I can use unity version 5 for the entirety of this course rather than having two versions (version 4.6 and 5).
Thank you
Simon
You can but its not recommended as some things get updated between version and later in the course you may not know why your code does not work (Although the load.level one is all over the forums so if you hit that just search.)
Personally though i find if you are fine with going the extra length to find the reasons why then it wont break the course to use the latest version. Just be prepared in case you get stuck to search for it.
I’ve used Unity 5 for most of the course, but of course, some things in the lectures just don’t work the same way so googling was needed. That is something I can deal with, but it depends on the student.
Have you guys found the course good for learning programming?
Hard to say for me since I’ve been programming for decades, but I did learn C#.
