It’s a very good subject but 5 days it’s too short for me. I don’t want to make quick easy model.

i Agree, after i started i also realized, the time’s to short, i changed it to two weeks ^^. Hope you’ll take part in it, as i like to see other people’s ideas

I don’t think I could do this one in less than a month, but I’ll try

Looks like I won’t be submitting this week… instead I’ll be getting rid of v2.79 and going back to 2.78 cause every single thing I have done has produce completely unexpected results leading to hours of hunting and fighting with the program

Yeah, i also experience some weird bugs with Blender 2.9. Might go back to 2.8 as well.

The Temple Church at dusk. I had a grand time working on this one.

That looks super awesome @Christi_Banister! Did you model the temple / church by doing modular pieces? Or is that one mesh? It would be really interesting to see if you did this with modular pieces, how’s your layout look like? Could you share the graybox model(s) (as a screenshot)?

I am sure you already had this in mind but can I suggest few things? You could put some leaves on the pavement as well, maybe some other small dirt to make it more realistic. Leaves on the ground as particle system should be very fast and easy to do. You could also add some decals / variation to the brick wall texture so it gets some variation as well. (I know it’s not easy but it will add realism).

All in all very good job!

Cheers, Jax

p.s. Did you use HDRI map for the env light? I am guessing there’s sun lamp somewhere and it looks a bit bright / white to be dusk? It would be super nice also to see this same scene where the lamps are lit and it’s a lot more dark.

Very nice christi

Thank you so much for your input @Jax. This model would be a great way to utilize modular pieces, but I did it as one model.

Sadly, I just didn’t have the time to add some of those final details. I hadn’t thought of the leaves on the ground (great idea). The lighting suffered the same fate as the details, just no time to perfect.

The lighting is a sun lamp, and a background image set to the window vector.

Here is a screen shot of the model.
