I don’t know. Do you think it’s too much? I was trying to make it look like an old photo to be more spooky.
Great redo’s everyone!
Here my second shot on the pirate challenge. I had very little time to achieve this so i’m happy with the result. It was my first hair particule job. That was fun! Should be a recurent theme!
Great redo, however the hat has some artifacts on it.
Great visual story. Who needs 1M vertices …?
I couldn’t i finish the project in time, as this week has been a bit hectic, but here is my entry: a month ago I tried to sculpt the statue of Azura, a goddess from a game I play, on the left you can see how far I got.
On the right is my work in progress for this challenge; I chose a version from a different game in the same setting and instead of starting to put in fine details before getting the general shape right I started blocking out the shapes, then sculpt a very rough version before adding the basic details (and that’s when I ran out of time).
Here are the reference images I used (for the latter I also used a side and back view imported as planes in blender, instead of going by memory).
Edit: I thought I’d add that I worked on the first attempt for about a week (that’s around 15 hours of modelling) while the second one took me about 4 hours so far
Yeah I know, I kinda ran out or time infortunatly. I wish I had a bit more time to apply some nice texture on it too… Maybe on the next one more shot challenge!
Good work! As always!
Thanks for sharing! Good work!
Woah, just got back into town from visiting family the last couple of days and didn’t expect to see so many new entries for the collab. Very well done everyone! Awesome to see all the improvement on everyone’s work!
I also agree that this should be a regular event, perhaps every 2 months or 6 weeks? Was a very good theme idea, just wish I had more time to work on my entry for this week lol
Thank you)
Can’t wait to see what you do!
I was thinking about my first object in the Blender course … the wedge …
or periscope …
Or maybe a project from the '90, which took me 7 render days. 320x240px
How do i create poll in which we have to rate every entry from 1-10 and the entry with most points wins. Works here are awesome so every entry deserves some grading. It will take time to rate but i think every work will be honored this way.
Ah, I remember the afternoons spent watching POVray rendering a 320*200 image pixel by pixel on my 286; going from memory I went as far as rendering a metal sphere on a wooden table on an infinite chequered plane, but it took the better part of a day to finish!
There is a “Number Rating” type poll. That might be what you’re looking for:
I think it’s worth a try, if you can figure it out. I have really enjoyed doing these challenges each week, and I hope we can keep it going and even grow it, but I’m also open to trying different things to see what works best.
I did that too POVray. Writing lines of code to make something work. Booleans, procedural textures.
I believe POVray was the start of PIXAR. I had two floppies with a free PIXAR render engine.
i tried making it i didnt get all the options so can anyone make it for me ?
The number rating poll takes only one topic to rate, so we should make a post with many indipendent posts, something like this, maybe:
Edit: maybe we’ll discuss about changing the poll rules for a future challenge
Its good .
thanks for help .
i also accidently rated one so if you can clear it also
