Hey there! I’m Kieran, prof at Oakland University in the US. Been programming for a long time (I’m really old), but not in games or graphics before.
I work on improving university intro skills courses, like programming. Write software to help implement learning science guidelines. Formative feedback, deep learning, transfer, metacognition, that sort of thing.
Hey there! My name is Alec and reside in Florida. I’m currently in the Unity and Blender course. However since me and programming don’t quite get a long well, I’m focused more on 3D. I have a love for games, but more specifically I love the 3D platforming genre. A couple of examples being the classic title of Mario Sunshine, as well as the newer titles (although unreleased) Yooka-Laylee and A Hat in Time. I’d eventually like to rally a small team to bounce ideas off of and help build, at the very least, a prototype.
My name is Patrick, I’m from a small island in Canada called Newfoundland.
I am currently in the Unreal course. This is my first course with Udemy and I must say,
so far I love it. I am currently enrolled in a Web Development program with a College so I decided to put the programming skills I learned from that into something I am really interested in(Game development).
Some of my favorite games are Zelda, Uncharted and Dark Souls so I would love to be able to make any kind of Adventure, RPG in the future. Can’t wait to get started with Unreal and work with all of you!!
I live around east coast of USA. Currently a college student with background in Network Administrator, but my major is Computer Science. I have some experience in programming in C, C++, Java, and Linux script language. I’m want to learn how to develop games as an interest because gaming is one of my favorite pass time.
I play a variety of genres and types, but I mostly play MMO’s because they provide a better time sink. I hope I can learn and make quality games on my private time very soon. I look forward to my experience here.
Hello, my name is Jim and I’m from White Haven Pennsylvania. I’m 55 and was an electronic technician for over 25 years before becoming an Information Technology Specialist about the last 8 years. I program in PHP, VBA, C#, and some javascript. I started unity programming at the beginning of this year. I have enrolled in all of Ben’s Unity3D courses and I’m pushing my way through them. I hope to have my own game by the end of 2016. I’ve purchased other Unity3D courses on Udemy, but These are by far the best ones I’ve watched.
I look forward to getting to know people here and learning as much as I can.
My name is Johnny Dalvi, 25 years old and from Brazil. I’ve been studying 3d drawings as an hobby the past couple of years and now I’m doing Ben’s unity+C# course in order to learn how to develop games. I wish to become an Indie game dev. as side Job. Games are my passion.
I’m am Srikanth from India. I am an IT pro and gaming is my passion (especially FPS). I always wanted to see under the hood and learn how games are built. Apart from this, C++ has been my tormentor for long, but I have an undying wish to master it the fun way. I’m hoping this course will be a right step towards having fun developing games while learning C++ along the way.
My name is Carlene, I have been known to walk into trees and I am from the UK.
I am currently a Full Stack Web Developer. In my free time I enjoy creating animations and games. Whilst at University, I had learned how to use Autodesk 3Ds Max and Unity and would now like to continue using an open source alternatives.
My name is Joe and I’m from NYC. Contrary to popular belief, we “ain’t” so bad!
I’m currently enrolled in the Unreal course as I wanted to get into dabbling with game design. I’m a computer engineer by trade, currently specializing primarily on the programming aspect of the title, but I’m a gigantic gamer at heart. I’m hoping to get the knowledge of the basic building blocks of Unreal from this course to achieve that goal. My inspiration are actually the people I game with. They seem to all have really good ideas for fun little games and they keep asking me to make it for them! If only they knew not all programming was created equal In any case, i look forward to a fun and knowledge filled course!
Hi everyone,
my name is Gustavo. I’m 31 years old.
I don’t have any expirience with UE4.
I have very little experience with C++. I hope to learn a lot in this course.
I have been using Unity 3d, and I began to be interested in game development when buying ina steam sale the Game Maker Studio.
-I hope to be able to realize an idea that is hanging around my head for a few years .
Hi I’m Brick from New York City, NY, USA.
I am taking the unity course to gain a better understanding of how games are made and to eventually apply this knowledge to installation, video and VR art. I’m a lifelong gamer and thought that it was about time (I’m 32) to go a bit deeper. Finally, I hope that this course will give me some good ideas for my Digital and Interdisciplinary Arts graduate school program that starts in the fall.
I’m Paul from the UK. I’m enrolled on all but the certification course, but have only really started the Unity one, which I’m about half way through. Though I’ll probably look at the Physics and Blender ones next (as VR is expensive and I’m not sure I’m up to another engine just yet!).
Like most folks I’ve got a couple of ideas for games which are predominantly 2D mobile targeted, because I want to be fairly realistic about what I can achieve. I’m doing this as a hobby and challenge for myself, but if the gods of the app store are kind and money comes my way I certainly wouldn’t complain.
I’m pretty geeky and IT literate and always have been, but I can remember “before the internet” so this is a way to keep my brain active and my tech skills up to date. Plus bragging rights, don’t forget that!
Hi everyone!
My name is Michael, and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I’m currently enrolled in the Unity course, but down the road I plan to complete the Unity Physics, Unreal, and Blender courses as well, when I’ve reached a decent level of proficiency in Unity.
I actually just completed a BA Music degree last year, so learning game dev and coding is a real change of pace. I love it though, and have wanted to learn it since I was a little kid playing games like Myst and Black & White with my big brother; the idea of building a world and a story fascinated me even then!
My ultimate goal in doing these courses (and game dev in general) is to release a game that I can be proud of. One that looks professional, plays well, has a compelling story, and is fun and engaging. I would love to build a “part-time career” out of game dev.
At the moment I am working through Bowl Master while simultaneously trying to put together a basic, functional, RPG-type game as side practice. I have an idea for a game that I’d like to create, so I’m working hard to get my skills high enough to pull it off. I’ll probably redo the course once I finish it, just to solidify the earlier concepts.
Hello, my name is Daniel Dorey from Canada.
I used to write games for the Atari Computer Systems in 1980s.
I’m just going to see if I can do a few small games for Android for now.
Hello, everyone, my name is Taylor. I’m 20 years old and I’m from Oregon. I am currently taking the Blender course on 3D modeling and eventually plan to take the Unity, Unity Physics, and Unreal courses after I have finished mastering the basics of modeling and animations with Blender. Ultimately, my goal is to learn how to make my own games, 3D animated shorts and possibly even movies. Its always been a long-time hobby of mine to make animations but I’m hoping to eventually turn it into my career.
Some time ago I’ve left my job to start making dream come true. In near future i would like to be a game developer, but for now I need to get more experience. I hope this course let me go through of Unity and C#, so my game which I’m working on right now, will come to life soon.
My name is Phil, an Englishman that has lived in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand for the past 14years or so.
As my profile picture probably attests, I am very much into Virtual Reality, so I hope to put this course (Along with the Unity, the VR course and the Blender course) to some use in making my own small game or app for the Samsung Gear VR, or the Oculus Rift. Heck, why not both?
I have tinkered a little in Unity previously, and have built some simple scenes for Gear VR, but am completely new to coding.
I have enjoyed the starting section of this course, and will be aiming to do 7-10 hours per week. Once, I have gained a bit more confidence to tinker more, I may go a little off-piste and jump in and out of the Blender course, and get to grips with that too.
Hi
I am Alan from New Jersey and am an open source developer (mostly Python projects). I also run a Scratch programming club at the local middle school. Some of my students were asking about Blender so I thought I would check it out.
If you would like to check out one of my open source efforts, you can click here.
Hi,
This is urfx (Selwyn from Audazzle Games). Portsmouth, UK.
Looking to consolidate some know how, share a few ideas and maybe meet a few like minded souls along the way. Always interested to hear from people who like the sound of Audazzle (and have the time to find out what it is and why it is). Currently halfway through the VR course.
Cheers
urfx.
I’m Vangelis a.k.a. Sutorcen from Hotgates. We are a small indie team based in Greece and we are working on our first game as we speak.
I’m here to wet my feet at 3D modelling and so far it has been great fun. The courses by Ben and his team are some of the best out there and have been a huge help for the whole team, so thank you. Also Michael Bridges is one of the best instructors I had the pleasure listening to, please make some more courses with him.
