Should I slow down?

I was following along well at the start, but as topics became more and more complex I have gotten a little lost in the sauce. By the time the challenges come around, I get only a little of it correct. I have been going through video after video, pausing and taking notes as I go along. I have no coding experience prior to taking this course.

should I slow down and study previous topics more before advancing? Or will it come to me easier as I progress?

Slowing down is probably the better option here, the course uses what was taught before to build into more complex topics and challenges so getting the practice in to better understand and lock-in that knowledge will lead to less frustration later on.
