Here are my attempts!
I made a bunch of different types of fires before I finally got some designs I liked. Here are my best four!
This is a torch to be carried by a character and my first experimentation with the airbrush and paintbrush tools.
Then I went for a fireball in someone’s hand using the airbrush for the ball and the pencil for the hand.
For this open fire look, I decided to just use the pencil tool for more control.
This final look is a torch on a wall of a dungeon, so it has a transparent background.
I really had a difficult time with this challenge, but I can tell I learned a lot from this process!
- bonfire
- falling UFO
- firebreath
- match

A year on, and I’ve decided to revisit this course, see if I’m made any improvement… I’m much happier with how these turned out…
Okay after fighting with my images (exporting them using BIMP but then they end up being 20x20px and no idea why. I tried six times), I exporting directly from GIMP instead and there was no issue. I left questions in the Q&A & Discord to see if anyone has a solution to that problem. Nevertheless here are my images. ~ Abby
