I love all of the GameDev.tv courses I’ve purchased through both Udemy and the GameDev.tv website itself, but I’ve recently started trying to find a course that goes into at least an intermediate level of detail about handling server-side data storage for games. This would be necessary for any kind of game that has any multiplayer functionality, even if it’s something as mundane as a leaderboard. Ensuring that players aren’t finding ways to locally manipulate their stats and scores by keeping that data stored on a remote server is the gold standard for this kind of thing, but I can’t find a single course about it on Udemy, nor here. I did find this post from these forums essentially asking the same question from over five years ago and it never got an answer: https://community.gamedev.tv/t/server-side-coding-data-storage-for-unity-games/28777
Is there any hope of one being done soon, or is it considered too much of a niche thing to spend the time creating a course for it?
