When I drag my player into my sprites it seems to be loaded. but where is the spaceship :)?

Is the z-position of the background set to 10, the z-position of the camera to -10 and the z-position of the other game objects to 0?

sometimes make sure you also have layers in order higher than that of your Background (Order in Layer> 0) it depends on the versions of Unity you seem to have one that does not require this adjustment
