I made three tilemap (layers). Background, Foreground, and Boundary. And three rule tiles, one for each layer.
Rick basically had what I consider boundary at the bottom of his platforms. By putting it on a separate layer, it simplified the rules for the Rock (platform) rule tile a bit.
There are some glitches, mainly from the fact the tile set is not quite complete. Though I guess it shouldn’t be too hard to use GIMP to combine various tiles to make the missing ones.
Note I’m using the “random” feature (it might not have existed in the older version; I’m using the version built in to Unity 2020.).
