Whenever i would have this problem i would always just tick loop pose and the animation would stay in place so why did we not do this?

I think you’re referring to the “In Place” checkbox in the Mixamo page before you download the anmation:
This works great for single animations.
Unfortunately, when downloading a pack, Mixamo has chosen not to include the in Place checkbox.
