Input Module's Input Actions not working?

I’m a little confused, I followed every step in the tutorial, but for some reason the Input Action events are not getting triggered when I press the corresponding input. I’ve tried to get something working on both my PC and my Mac and so far nothing. Any pointers?

Argh! So I did not follow every step of the tutorial. I missed an important one for enabling the controls… ugh.
