I learned material node editing form the Blender Material Nodes course, and I learned about Voronoi diagrams from https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-1-4757-6568-7 (Sphere Packings, Lattices, and Groups by Conway and Sloane—yep, the same Conway who gave us Game of Life).
Nice. Is this a custom node with code or is it all done using only geometry nodes?
btw, look up Rhino CAD and Grasshopper, it’s all about algorithmic modeling. Grasshopper is node-based too and has been around for 20 years. And allows for custom code. Maybe you find inspiration or example code you can apply to Blender nodes.
Nice, I really wish Blender would implement more grid shape nodes to easily create patterns like this.
I worked on one a few years ago during Nodevember and got this result:
Nice, I’ve only use Rhino a few times ( and only really to convert Rhino model to use elsewhere) but I’d love to look into Grasshopper and Blender addons Like Sverchok at some point to get more familiar with Parametric design tools. Erindale has been a big inspiration in that space for a while, but with Geo Nodes gettings so many updates, its hard enough to find time to keep up to date with vanilla Blender.
