Hamachi - Necessary for rest of course or not?

I’m really enjoying the course so far. But honestly I have no interest in gaming via Hamachi (or any other Third Party software). I want my users to be able to just open my game and find people to play with online.

If I skip this part of the course (well, just watch the video instead) will I suffer later in the course?

the only thing you will suffer is that you will not be able to test if the Lan works with a friend.

Later in the course, you will use the steam online subsystem and you will not need Hamachi for it.
