Fog color transperancy issue

Transparancy setting for fog color doesn’t affect anything… pls help!

Hi,

If the alpha channel does not affect the density of the fog and since the manual does not mention the alpha channel, it might be that the Density is used for the transparency.

Have you already tested it?

Can see no Density option here… If you mean to use Exponential Mode

What happens if you set End to, for example, 1? And have you already tried to click “Generate Lighting”?

And which version of Unity do you use?

If to set End to 1-100, nothing changes with transparancy. Generate Lighting tried first af all, no result.

Hey @Beatabout, the sliders in Linear fog also have NEGATIVE values. (ex: if you set the end to be 100 > the starting value can be -100, not just 0). Is there a particular reason why you specifically want to use Linear Fog? That option is the “advanced” granular fog. As Nina mentioned, the other 2 replace the min/max sliders with a Density slider for a more straightforward setup.
