I get this same error, And yes my method is in the “Enter()” method.
Continuing the discussion from Can't play attack animation:
There were two parts to the solution:
One was the Crossfade being in tick
The other was
The error message itself looks like the AnimationName does not match any of the states in your animator. (case matters)
you were right I misspelled the word Attack in the inspector. it was “Atack” not “Attack”.
