Cycles with AMD Adrenaline installed

Hello there,

I just noticed, that if you want to use your Radeon RX 7-Series to Render with GPU and not with CPU, there might be an error when HIP ist selected under Preferences as Render Device.

Sth. like this: “HIP binary kernel for this graphics card compute capability not found”.

The solution ist to untic the “AMD Radeon Graphics” and/or the AMD Ryzen XYZ-Processor under

Preferences >> System >> Cycles Render Devices >> HIP

and just tic your Radeon graphics card. You can now select Cycles as Renderenginge and change “Device” to GPU Compute.

It seems, that AMD Adrenaline Software also installs the integrated “CPU-GPU”.

I just wanted to share that with you.

Cheers!
