Chess set completed

after 2 weeks of modeling and designing, my chess set is finally done
hoping to revisit this in the future to finish the background of the room itself

Great individual items but they break the relative sizes convention for chess pieces. Especially the rooks.

You also have yourself a nice little set of models. Take away the stands (or keep them) and animate them, and you have something for any type of medieval game.

sadly the models were not made with animation in mind

No problem. Even though you did not have animation in mind, they would serve as a good reference for animation or any other project- something is infinitely better than nothing at all.

Likewise, they serve as good props for a game- some games use unanimated, but moveable pieces instead of animated ones. For example, if you had a medieval game where you run a kingdom, every time you enter into battle you could end up in a chess like battle against your opponent. The terrain could be a chess board or a mock battle terrain. Each side would have a “pawn” representation of their army in much the same way as you have for your own. Then they move about the terrain in turn-based combat in a chess like manner. I nice little twist to both chess and empire building games. :slight_smile:

Just an example where you could take something simple like this and expand it to something else.
