For the last one I made a duplicate image of the shield on a separate layer, flipped it vertically and used a transform tool to distort it so it looks like a projected reflection onto a surface, doing this made the colours turn semi transparent already so I didn’t have to worry about any more fade effect on top and just added a wall and floor to complete the effect.

The silhouette did not turn out so well, except for the fact that there is a gray outline. Is that the selection appearing in the image…?

I reduced the level of opacity to make the reflection. After seeing the technique of blending from one color to transparent, I added that in to increase the effect.

Shield drop shadow. Had done one for a previous challenge with a flat color - gradient looks much better.

Added a shadow to my bottle, gave my 32x32 fire sprite a reflection in 48x48 and had my 8x8 dog cast a 32x32 silhouette
